Joy in Sorrow Groves is about the different WAYS WE HURT: physical, soul, mental, and the questions we ask when we go through them. We are always looking for answers, for ways to heal. But often, healing comes in ways we don’t expect. And we will find joy growing as we befriend grief in a garden of erotemes (erotemes). 
This is the 1st song in the first full length album project called A Side of Grief.

Originally released on the label Orange Machine on March 1st, 2024, “Alive” caught my attention with its emotive energy. After releasing my Afro-dance track “Worami,” I decided to try something new by exploring the Drum and Bass genre with this remix, aiming to bring a fresh perspective to one of Ocin J’s tracks. The remix is entirely self-produced, featuring a Reese bassline, a distorted lead, and traditional Drum and Bass drums, with a tone that leans toward hopefulness.

This remix came together through the Music We Trust artist collective—a platform I co-founded—where I discovered Ocin J’s music and was inspired by the original track.

This is my first remix, and it marks a special step in my journey, which began in mid-2024. It reflects my desire to keep exploring new genres as a music producer and releasing more music in the future.

Bad Mother Nature is a four-piece rock band from Sacramento, CA. Fronted by singers Ryan Allred and Axel Ahrens, the band has a unique and diverse sound, often ranging from Folk Rock and Americana to Indie and Hard Rock. Ahrens and Instrumentalist Corey Allred cycle between bass and guitar, while Jon McCann’s signature drum style provides the group with their consistent character. Since their formation in the summer of 2016, the band has been steadily grinding away in west coast clubs, dive bars and festivals, refining their energetic live performance by balancing their driving guitar-riffs and nuanced, progressive piano. 

With several regional tours to their name, and three albums under their belt, the group has begun to make a name for themselves. 

The band's latest EP "A Thousand Days of Desert Rain and Madness" was released in April 2023.
