Rebel Moon est un groupe de Gypster, crée par son fondateur Bado, originaire du Maroc, en 2012. 
Le Gypster est un style de musique qui mêle le rock-indie, l’électro et la musique oriental et des Balkans. 
C’est au fil de ses voyages, ses expériences et surtout ses rencontres qu’il va pouvoir inventer son propre courant musical.
Tout commence un an après son arrivé au Canada en 2010. Bado, marocain de Marrakech, participe à un open-mic, où Gilles Brisebois, un Bassiste de poid lourd qui a accompagnè des grande artistes canadien comme jean le loup ,Voivode,Ian perau , est présent. 
Conquis par la prestation du jeune artiste, le bassiste lui propose de passer dans son studio, dans le quartier du Mile End. C’est à cet instant que Bado lui fait part de son envie de fonder un band, où il pourrait faire naitre un nouveau style musical. 
Mais pour ça, il leur fallait un batteur et Gilles fait appel à son ami Ange E. Curcio (qui a déjà accompagné Bon Jovi ou Jonas…). 
Bado de son côté, écrit et compose ses propres morceaux qu’il partage avec Gilles et Ange. Conquis, ils décident de l’accompagner et de partager la scène dans des bars et par la suite dans des festivals. 
Après plusieurs concerts, il participe, fin 2012, au concours du conseil des arts où il remporte le prix Divers Cité.
Bado décide alors de travailler sur son premier album. Mais surtout de prendre le temps de le réaliser à son image en y ajoutant son univers, ses voyages et ses expériences. AYAM, le titre de son album, regroupe toutes les qualités techniques, musicales et instrumentales qui font de Bado un artiste complet. À travers ces dix titres, Bado nous fait voyager à travers des sons, des images et des émotions.

Founder and leader of the band Rebel Moon; Badr Dean is a singer-songwriter, producer, and filmmaker born and raised in Marrakech. Here he was fed with the vibrancy of the ancient imperial city. He discovered guitar after hearing stories of  legends Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix jam with local musicians from his hometown. As a teenager he travelled all over Morocco to small towns and villages by bus and train, sharing music and conversation with the people he met.
  In his early twenties he moved to Montreal and found himself immersed in a community of diverse cultures, religions, languages and music. He is adept at mixing genres, which has led him to mix pop music, North African trance and Arab-Andalusian, indie and electronics. His unique music style opens the doors to a huge and loyal audience.

Badr Dean is the recipient of the Vivacité Award presented by the Montreal Arts Council. He then released his first EP titled 1,618 for a Canadian tour including performances in Festivals Nights of Africa, Francofolies, the Arab World Festival and more. Passionate, Badr Dean is constantly looking for inspiration. He is on his way to new destinations to complete the composition of his new album.

Back in Montreal, he took the opportunity to attend studio recordings and production training. Then he officially launches his first video, El Merican, an international media success. This leads him to be selected for the CBC 2017-2018 revelation. He participates in the showcase Muse  and won the Francofolies and CIBL Radio prize.

This album is a culmination of experiences, memories, hopes, and dreams. The songs were composed throughout travelling, echoing the many cities in countries in which they were written. Darija, his mother tongue, plays a key role in the lyrics of the album as he wants Moroccans and Africans as a whole to feel proud of their heritage; and to share this heritage with the global community. Perhaps through more conversation, more travel, more sharing and deeper understanding, there can be greater tolerance and a more borderless world.
