Voyage Funktastique, Montreal’s trusted modern funk and street soul label, is excited to present its latest 7-inch vinyl gem:

“You Got Me Dreamin” — a timeless new single from Toronto producer Bes Kept and South Carolina soul vocalist Teddy Bryant - perfectly channels the golden era Street-Soul, R&B, and mid-80s Funk sound — think of Loose Ends, SOS Band, and 52nd Street — and is crafted for serious soul heads, selectors, and collectors alike.

This release marks Bes Kept’s anticipated follow-up to his acclaimed production “Roses” for Lynda Dawn, featured on Extra Soul Perception’s New Tangents In Kampala, London & Nairobi Vol.1 and released as a highly sought-after 7” single with an XL Middleton remix.

Teddy Bryant, known for his standout albums In The Beginning and Dinner For Two, as well as the smooth 12" single "Heaven Sent" (released on PPU) with Oakland producer Space Ghost, brings his signature warmth and heartfelt delivery to this classic-inspired groove.

MadD3E is a surgically precise producer hailing from Rome.

As is always the case, Voyage Funktastique has scoured the world map to bring us the finest global Future Funk in the planet, and the new "Split Series #3" is no exception. The musical build up to "Bounce Right" surprises right out the gate and leads to a beautifully crafted Boogie banger. MadD3E attention to detail is evident in how his music is constructed and how his vocals are integrated.

A similar and even slicker approach is used for the slow-burner "P For Popping" which takes us through a late night stroll on the coastline to a back-alley showdown for dancer to get it poppin'. The vivid imagery MadD3E can generate with his calculated synths and sounds makes him stand out from the scene and, like with anything VF brings to our ears, the definitive Funk factor is still the focal point.

With this quality standard and his locked in knack for grooves, the young producer is definitely one to watch out for.

Montréal label Voyage Funktastique is proud to present their first full-length offering, by way of Koolade’s “The Hop,” a 7-track project that takes an eclectic approach to dance music. Soulful chords, gospel-like progressions, and thumpy bass lines are held together over 4x4 beats, while the song titles are a reminder to keep dancing: “The Bop,” “The Hop,” “The Chop,” “The Drop,” “The Wop,” “The Swap,” and “The Pop.”

Koolade is a producer and beatmaker hailing from Croatia, who is known for his work with hip hop legends such as Masta Ace, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, Diamond D, Sadat X, Sean Price, and Tony Touch, to name a few. His sound combines future funk, alternative hip hop, lo fi and future beats, and has been supported by such renowned DJs and radio shows as Joe Kay of Soulection, Walla P of Voyage Funktastique, We Funk, and XL Middleton.

The prolific German duo are back with a new 7' releases, following up their last EP "Sofea" which included a remix by Dj Spinna.

The A Side features the banger "You Got It Baby", a revamped & boosted rendition of the original version, released in 2008 (later on CD in 2012) and available for the 1st time on vinyl. This song really established the "Modern Funk" sound, and solidified First Touch as pioneers of the movement.

The B Side "Crampjuice" oscillates between Funk & Electro vibes, with thumping drums, some signature DX7 chords, and the classic First Touch aesthetics; refined and sophisticated grooves.

We hope that this 7' will never leave your record bag, and that you'll be able to play it at any given time.
