A culmination of over 6 years worth of work, this album consists of every track that I've released since the start of my musical journey as Bad Tango in 2011, to my Gene Sequence EP which was released at the very end of 2017. It is my absolute pleasure to be able to share my entire back catalog with you all just before the release of my first ever full length album, 'ILK', as a 'name your price' download. Almost every track in this collection is available in full wav quality, so whether you're playing them out or listening to them at home, I hope you get as much joy from them as I have over the years. And if you can spare a few pennies for these tracks then please do, as every penny coming my way helps me continue making squiggles. But if you can't, then honestly don't sweat it. For this new chapter, Mystic Choices, Vallou has again created a beautiful piece of art by sharing his personal therapy with the world. He reaches to explain these feelings about the mysteries of life that we cannot translate with words, by using the universal language of sound frequencies and emotions in an attempt to bring us a bit closer to understanding these divine mysteries. 

This album goes deep into our minds and our hearts. It helps to process our past paths with powerful melodies and basslines that gives us the strength to reflect on the choices we make while on the journey of life, reaching a better future. 

With this release, he wants to remind you that each of our decisions is crucial for our life and for the people around you. That we have to listen to the mystic force of life, that has always been in you and will be guiding your path to your best version of yourself. 

The artwork has been specially painted for this album by the sweet Anaël Azuria. It resonates a lot with the personal path of Vallou in life, sometimes feeling alone into a vast and beautiful universe, reaching deep into himself to share his light with the world. 

You will hear in track 4, “Ce Rêve”, some beautiful Hanpan’s sounds recorded with Pascal Sudinger (aka Pantrix), with the voice of Olivia Brunet. 

And in track 5, “Laniakea”, you will again find the beautiful french words of Olivia Brunet to guide your journey, taken from a conference she has done under Tribal Garden’s dome at Spiritus Silvam Festival 2022.

This track was made during the summer of 2010 and was heavily inspired by the music of progressive psy trance artist Sensient, owner of pioneering Australian Psy label 'Zenon records'. This tune took a total of about 2 weeks to make, and the climactic point of the track involved practically every electronic process i knew of at the time. Hopefully the 'hog' will soon be rustling some hedges at an outdoor party near you :)

This one is a lot different to my usual sort of style in that its very progressive and quite melodic... and i decided to put a sort of slap bass style funk solo in the middle of it :-S

This guy has been becoming one of my favourite producers in the tech-funk and breaks scene recently, hes got a great style and a really nice blend of minimalism crossed with techy psychedelia. I highly recommend checking his stuff out! :D 

This will be released on the 13th August as part of AP3X's next release for Dino Home Alone's new Label, In Bloom Recordings. Please share and spread the word if you're feeling it!!

Bad Tango is the electronic music project of UK based producer Will Railton.

Will was first established in the Psychedelic Breakbeat & Tech-Funk genres following his debut release in January 2011. After topping download charts with a string of successful releases on a variety of labels, he was quickly scooped up by forward thinking UK label Broken Robot, where he continued to help pioneer the Psy Breaks genre alongside the likes of Hedflux and ex-Far Too Loud member, Neurodriver.
