'Flow Poke' is the second EP from Timbah on Bad Taste Records and the follow up to 2012's debut, 'Can’t Love Without You'. His first release received widespread plaudits online for its unique textures, with Truants Blog probably saying it best when likening hearing it to, “being served a plate full of tropical fruit after a decade of microwaved Supernoodles”. 

Comparisons were made elsewhere to similar individualists James Blake and Rustie, and on ‘Flow Poke’ Timbah exhibits the same restlessness that has made those artists so exciting. Veering off in a more raw and energetic direction than before, ‘Flow Poke’ is an EP that looks towards the wilder edges of instrumental grime, bass music and southern hip hop, loping between the intense and the melodic with gleeful abandon.

Stepping up for remixing duties are a host of Bad Taste Records friends and family, including some sludged-out swagger from Druid Cloak alongside a boisterous sweat-drencher from fellow North American contingent Tony Quattro, as well as a typically colourful contribution from London resident Murlo.

Previous Timbah support includes airplay love from Mary Anne Hobbs, Toddla T, and Monki & Visionist on Rinse FM, as well as from DJs such as Karma Kid, Slugabed, Visionist, Lockah & Ghostmutt.
