55 Cancri e (Sara Hausenkamp)

Sara Hausenkamp is a swedish musician/artist born 1989 in Malmö. She started out playing classical guitar as a child and teenager and then went on playing keyboard in different band constellations in her late teenage years/early twenties. 
In 2013 she moved to Berlin and started playing keyboard/guitar/singing in the electro duo "naftik". 

Except from music she also expresses herself through illustrations, collages, photos, writing, painting, fanzine-making etc.. In 2011and 2012 she studied at the school of comic art in Malmö.

"55 Cancri e" is Sara Hausenkamp's solo project that she started in summer 2014. It's night music from outer space. Tunes covered in diamond. Sensitive guitars, crying synthesizers/flutes/wine glasses, organ/melodika and haunting voices.

Recalling the sublime fingerpicked purity of folk singers-past such as Bridget St John and Linda Perhacs, estimable Melbourne folk artist Lucy Roleff releases her debut album This Paradise via Lost And Lonesome on July 15, 2016.

The follow-up to Longbows — Lucy’s acclaimed EP of 2013 — was recorded with Tony Dupé (Holly Throsby, Grand Salvo) at his home studio in a hundred year-old church in South Gippsland; Tony and his partner Claire Deak adding some subtle strings, bowed glockenspiel, pump organ and cymbal washes to Lucy’s deft nylon string, harp and woodwind compositions.

‘Every Time’, the album's second single, was composed on a 20 euro tobacco-stained junk store acoustic guitar that Lucy acquired while residing in Berlin a few years back. Sombre and enchanting, the song is a meditation on moments of quiet domestic solitude and others of turmoil brought on by a vagabond lover who comes and goes, stirring everything in their wake.
