Welcome to our first episode of Glass Garden, where music becomes a journey, and sound transforms the soul. Today, I want to take you back to a moment of profound change— the beginning of transformation that took root at @Koala-Karnival. It was at this event that the power of ambient music opened my eyes and heart, altering the way I feel and perceive sound.

In the midst of the gathering, surrounded by the gentle pulse of ambient melodies, something shifted within me. The music flowed not just around me but through me, connecting me to a deeper sense of self. It was more than just sound; it was a transformative experience that reshaped my understanding of what music could be—a force of healing, introspection, and pure connection.

From that moment of transformation, and with the collaboration of alys (@alysmusique), Glass Garden was born; a project where we aim to curate soundscapes dedicated to exploring the journeys that music can take us on. From the soothing currents of ambient sounds to the therapeutic embrace of soundscapes and the deep rhythms of atmospheric dub, each episode invites you to pause, breathe, and dive into the limitless potential of music

Come along as we embark on these sonic adventures, inspired by the powerful shifts experienced at Koala Karnival, and allow the music to open new doors to feeling and insight.

"My sound is not defined by genre and is ever evolving. I like to play whatever resonates with me on the moment and let the music and sound flow through me as it is present. Over the years my style has changed and evolved, sometimes going back to things I used to play and other times diving into new niches, discovering music I have not heard before. Overall if you listen back to my mixes I am sure you will find some kind of "signature" with everything I am playing. Whether it is productions I make or DJ mixes as the current one, when it touches my soul and the cells in my body resonate, my whole body grooves and moves, I will listen to it and play it. Every year in late July, 200+ friends from around the world converge in a Valley in Vermont for PYNK.

There are two primary venues for music across the four-day weekend: The Creek and the Cabin. 

The Creek is a grassy venue that sits just atop a beautifully shady, rock-strewn brook.  

It's not every day you can play an amazingly well-tuned d&b sound system to dancers frolicking in and out of the water as sunbeams shine through the trees.

I hope you enjoy this set, which was one of my highlights of Summer 2024 so far!
