It gives me so much excitement to finally share with you the debut release from my collective Hippo Sound System! As a collective of producers, musicians and vocalists we explore new fusions of world music with sound system culture. Producing intelligent and organic dance music that is enriching for both the body and soul. 

The title track "Music For Your Mind" fuses funky East African grooves with a classic drum & bass beat and features the legendary D&B MC Spyda as well as Ghanaian powerhouse K.O.G & Jamaican rapper Franz Von. 

Love Goes Where Love is a euphoric fusion of jungle music with soukous inspired guitar and is accompanied by beautiful vocal messages from both K.O.G & Fran Von. 

Into the Jungle is our tribute to the legendary Francis Bebey and is a psychedelic junglist's journey into the heart the jungle itself! We call this new sub genre... 'liquid-afro-jungle' !!!

Carlos Rodriguez aka BagOBeetz, has been rocking dance floors worldwide for over a decade now. Born in Spain and growing up in Venezuela, Carlos is a fast-learning producer and skillful DJ that will rock a crowd with style and proper vibes. Growing up surrounded by Latin culture and rhythm - influences from reggae, calypso, salsa, soca, funk, hip hop, house, breaks, DnB and world music, BagOBeetz is an artist that delivers a seamless mixture of multigenre, open format and worldly beats, scratch routines, on the fly edits and mashups - all tied together with original productions and world class mixing.
Now residing between Europe and Canada where he often performs at many festivals, cities and venues worldwide.
BagOBeetz is the former creator and promoter of one of the most successful weekly Dj nights in British Columbia/ Canada at Big White Ski Resort.
With a short time in the production game BagOBeetz's originals, remixes and mashups have been blogged and are re-blogged in many popular underground music sites all over the world.
His Energy, stage presence and djing skills make him a regular pick for promoters and festivals all over.
BagOBeetz has been the support act for great local artists and many international names like: Krafty kuts, featurecast, WBBL, Elite force, A-SKILLZ, rico tubbs, slynk, JFB, Chali2na, DUB PISTOLS, G jones, k-lab, Father funk, plump Djs, stafford brothers, goosebumps, Phibes and more.
