Kelayx & Grystmp - Greasy

Dad’s mix, curated by Nick Bagot, mixed by his family.

I have Dad to thank for the musical journey I am currently on. Having bought me my first set of Decks for Christmas when I was 20, I learnt to DJ and it hasn’t stopped being my favourite thing to do since. 

Fast forward to September 2020. I had discovered some studios where you could DJ on professional club Decks with ultra high quality (and loud) speakers, and I decided to bring Dad along for a mixing session. Dad has always loved electronic music and used to DJ on a set of turntables when he was, well, probably my age! So we got together some of his favourite tunes and old vinyl to take with us, and we had a great time. Dad enjoyed it so much he said he would’ve spent all his time there if it was around when he was DJing! 

So today, to celebrate Dad’s 52nd birthday and sadly his second since we said goodbye. Me, my sister Saskia, our step-sibling’s Holly and Jem, my mum Laura, my step-mum Joanna and my girlfriend Beth,  have created this mix using those same tunes that Dad brought to the studio back in 2020. We hope you enjoy the mix and are thinking of him as you listen ❤️
