"Fasting Prayer" by Rosalynd & Pascal

This wonderful talk by Dr. Nader Saiedi, titled "Fire and Light in the Bab's Tablet Proclaiming to be the Qa'im", has been graciously shared with us by the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Santa Monica, California. 

Dr. Nader Saiedi, a scholar of the Writings of the Bab, shares some context about a historically important and complex Tablet of the Bab's that has yet to be translated into English.

Fire and Light in The Bab's Tablet Proclaiming to Be the Qa'im - Dr. Nader Saiedi

In this talk, given at the Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference (Phoenix, USA) in December, 2012, Dr. Vahid Rafati explores the life, achievements and works of Abdu'l-Baha.

Dr. Vahid Rafati received his B.A degree in Psychology from Tehran University. He subsequently completed his PhD in Islamic Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Rafati has been serving at the Research Department of the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa, Israel since 1980 and is the author of numerous articles and books in both Persian and English.

Abdu'l-Baha the Exemplar - A Talk by Dr. Vahid Rafati

In this talk given by Erica Toussaint-Brock called "Family life: Marriage and Relationships and Childhood Education", Ms. Toussaint-Brock shares her thoughts about living a coherent life from the standpoint of building civilization. She looks at the roles of the individual, marriage and family in the spiritualization of mankind and in attaining unity in all human relationships, whether it's achieving the equality of women and men or increasing the stability of marriages.

Erica Toussaint-Brock is best known for her down-to-earth application of the Bahá'í teachings in our everyday life. Her presentations are filled with insight, laughter and stories which give us a window into a deeper and more profound understanding of walking our path of spiritual development and service to fellow human beings. She has served variously in Baha'i administrative positions including as an Auxiliary Board member, the Regional Baha'i Council of the Western states and most recently as a member of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States for 15 years until 2015.

This talk was given at the Grand Canyon Baha'i Conference, 25 December, 2017.

"Family Life - Marriage and Relationships and Childhood Education" a Talk By Ms. Erica Toussaint

In this series of eight talks, historian Douglas Martin discusses the evolution of religion in the context of our capacity to respond to the requirements of the Divine Plan.

Douglas Martin was born in 1927 in Ontario, Canada. He held a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Western Ontario and a Master's degree in history from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.

He was a member of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Canada from 1960-85, serving as its general secretary from 1965-85. From 1985-93 he was director-general of the Baha'i International Community's Office of Public Information at the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa.

Mr. Douglas Martin was also a former member of the Universal House of Justice, the governing body of the Baha'i International Community (for more information, please visit: https://universalhouseofjustice.bahai.org/).

Mr. Martin passed away on 28 September 2020 in Toronto, Canada. You can read a tribute to him by the Universal House of Justice on the Baha'i World News Service: https://news.bahai.org/story/1455/
