Captivate is a Canadian producer and DJ pushing deeply rooted yet forward thinking bass music. The emerging artist’s productions vary from dark, weighty and dubbed out halftime to frenetic footwork jungle hybrids, to lush ambient-infused bass music. His tracks always pay homage to 90's rave music but with a focus on fusing classic elements with lesser used rhythms. Now a familiar name across Canada, he has had the honour of playing shows and festivals across the country and has provided support for the likes of Fixate, Skeptical, AMIT and many more. If you were there at that big show on that little farm on that little island then you know. Huge thanks to Earth Candy farm and everyone that made that event truly a night to remember.

This is my set from 11:30 - 1:00 in the cobhouse. The intention behind this set - played on Halloween when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest - was to take the dancefloor on a journey into the shadow and out the other side so, as is a pretty constant theme in my mixes, it starts out dark and heavy and breaks into light to end on a melodic and uplifting note. Contains a lot of my favorite tunes in the drum & bass region with a good mix of classics and fresh new tracks. Thanks to all on the packed dancefloor that joined me for that one. Hope you enjoy on some proper speakers.
