Dancin’ feet at the ready, people. This is without a doubt a mix inspired by the magic of the dancefloor – the energy and good vibrations created by the music and music heads, locked in in a mystical moment of total connection and bliss.

As an artist, Hypnotic Black Magic focuses on creating “musical journeys oscillating between dark and bright energies. Inspired by ritualistic music, atmospheric ambient and hypnotic techno, she offers through her sets an exploration of obscure, meditative and sensual emotions.”

Spanish DJ and producer Massa is one of the main names in the local Deep Techno scene. His sound is elegant and high level. He's also a fine mixer, an upright artist and a lover of what he does. Massa joins this week's 6AM Guest Mix and delivers his signature dose of deep techno in this all-vinyl mix.

In 2016, Massa created Barcelona-based label hidden traffic. The independent label publishes in physical format prior to digital and releases works by artists such as Deepbass, Ness, Blazej Malinowski, Reggy Van Oers and Massa himself. Massa has also released his work on important labels within the international scene such as Affin Records, Oslated and Informa Records among others.

Kontinum [Nebula | Leipzig]

Initially inspired by the subcultural scene of his hometown of Lübeck, the young artist was strongly influenced by the predominant sound of the Leipzig techno scene. Especially the infamous Institut fuer Zukunft and its hypnotic and dissociative sound significantly formed his distinctive style and quickly paved his way into the local scene.
In 2017 Kontinum co-founded the project @nebulakollektiv and, after organising their first raves, the collective quickly found its way into Leipzig's club scene and managed to establish its own event series at Institut fuer Zukunft.
In addition to managing most of Nebula's musical affairs, Kontinum continues to steadily enhance his own remarkable sound which can already be listened to on his releases on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless, Fur:ther Sessions and Agos.

The mix is recorded originally for Art Bei Ton podcast series, and with its multiplicity of layers and atmospheres is able to space between different genres and emotions.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.

While we are still waiting for spring to start blooming, another “Circulating Waves” mix just landed here with us. We are very happy to welcome Medha on board of the mothership!

The DJ and musician from PVC collective is an integral part of the local underground scene in Leipzig. Being a real digger, her passion for technoid music is characterized by her constant search for inspiration and new tracks, which she blends together in her flawless mixes with a mixture of intuition and thought. 

Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig music culture and club scene she cultivates a sound defined by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms, repetitive sounds and spherical textures, creating an endless drive that always aim to make the listeners dance and to send their minds on journeys far out.

Together with Vanta she also crafted a massive Hypnotic Techno pearl for us, which will be released on our second compilation “Sunken Artifacts II” on the 25th of March! We are very much looking forward to everything coming from her direction…
