Silence Friction explores the thin line between sleep and waking, where silence becomes both shelter and threat. As the observer drifts toward sleep, reality itself begins to fade. A tent in the forest – no thicker than a membrane – becomes like a spacecraft gliding through the void, its fragile skin holding back the unknown. Silence hums with hidden signals, whispers and pulses that swell the deeper it becomes. Are they outside, or echoes projected from within? A sci-fi forest of crawling sensors and restless creatures surrounds the listener, while the mind itself reveals its role as the true architect of reality. Hypnotic, immersive techno for those willing to close their eyes and let the world dissolve.

Silence Friction

“CYCLE” is the latest album by South German producer Max Tebbert, founder of the independent label RAUWERK. Entirely self-produced — from composition to mix and master — this record is a true reflection of Tebbert’s uncompromising artistic vision.

Crafted through a hybrid production approach, CYCLE merges the warmth and unpredictability of analog hardware, modular systems, and classic synthesizers with modern production techniques. The result is a deeply hypnotic journey marked by driving beats, textured soundscapes, and a distinct signature style that bridges the raw and the refined.

Each track unfolds like a chapter, reflecting the cyclical nature of sound, emotion, and experience. With CYCLE, Tebbert continues to push boundaries, inviting listeners into a sonic space that is both meditative and relentlessly forward-moving.
