Hi, this is Transylvalien! (Baian's alter-ego) Born at Boom 2025 only about 4 weeks ago, here to bring you some of the finest psychedelic electronic music. Expect bright, almost spiritual energy combined with glitchy and bendy basslines to truly connect with each other on the dance floor! This mix is my entry for the Tribe of Frog DJ Competition 2025, featuring some of my favourite tracks as well as a couple of my own unreleased ones. Dan Rus aka Baian aka Transylvalien 🇷🇴
Originally from Târgu Mureș, Romania and now based in Bristol, UK   🇬🇧, Baian is a DJ and producer blending hypnotic techno and house with melodic and psychedelic influences. A metalhead turned electronic music explorer, Baian brings raw energy and emotion to every set — creating powerful, memorable moments on stage through a deep connection with the crowd.

Inspired by the Romanian underground, German techno, and the mind-bending edge of psytrance, Baian’s sound is both driving and intricate — rooted in rhythm, but always evolving. He first hit the decks around eight years ago under his real name, Dan Rus, cutting his teeth in the legendary Avi-Cola club and taking cues from the local minimal scene.

Since then, he’s released music with Verzila, UFO Beats, and Carpathian Sounds. Now, after time off spent steadily shaping a more complex, immersive sound, he's back — ready for a new chapter. Whether in the booth or the studio, Baian’s mission is clear: high energy, deep grooves, and a journey you won’t forget.

Born from the magic of Boom 2025, Transylvalien is Dan’s latest sonic journey — inspired by the vibrant energy of the Gardens Stage. Blending psy dub, downtempo, and spiritual electronica, he weaves warm, hypnotic soundscapes designed for inner journeys and outer connection.
