Marseille, Nous sommes samedi,
après une journée caniculaire,
c'est le moment de profiter de la terrasse pour se détendre un peu!
Puis soudain me vient une irrésistible envie de faire de la musique,
l'ambiance est tellement zen, je ne vais pas m'en priver. En 2 minutes le materiel est installé sur la terrasse.
Cette fois je suis prêt, ça commence, je presse "play"... Mon esprit est apaisé.

It was almost mid-November and the forest had become very quiet.  Migrant birds had flown away to the south and the bats and hedgehogs had already started their hibernation, despite the unusually mild temperatures this autumn.  Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) was walking alone in the forest.  Hekske (the little witch) had gone to a witch coven near the Black Sea and Lalita (the tree nymph) was in a deep meditative communication session with the little oak tree.  As trees have a very slow way of communicating these sessions can take days.  All of a sudden, Falke felt very lonely.  She started to think back about her life when she was still a human being, which stopped abruptly 1,5 years ago when she lost both her drug-addicted parents.  That fateful day, she followed her deeper instincts, ran into the forest where she got a warm welcome by Hekske, the little witch.  After that, Falke blossomed open and had a very happy time in the witch’s forest, learning fast about secret recipes and spells, while never complaining about the rain or the winter cold.  Yet, on this sunny but windy November day, she suddenly missed her parents and quietly wept in a remote corner of the forest, her tears rolling down her cheeks.
Then she got spotted by Bob The Owl, her trusted friend.  Bob landed on her shoulder.  At first he did nothing, but after a while he started to play gently with Falke’s long blond hair and nibbled softly on her right earlobe. Falke started to notice her sweet friend.  She took him on her hand and gave him a little kiss.  After that she caressed his soft down feathers and massaged his neck (which he really loves).  Then she took Bob in the palm of her hand and gently massaged his belly, while the little owl closed his eyes from pure joy.  Falke smiled and gave him another tender kiss at the end of the massage session.  Then she walked back to the glade with Bob on her shoulder.  On the way she chatted and played with a couple of jays and a family of squirrels.  Slowly, Falke became as ebullient and playful as ever.
Shortly after arriving in the glade, she heard a familiar yell from above.  Falke’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Hekske flying in the air.  The little witch gently touched down on the soft moss and gave a long welcome hug to Falke.  Hekske was covered with dust and her hair was a real mess after the long flight back from the Crimea.  She urgently needed a bath, and both girls quickly went to the nymph’s pond where they slipped out of their long white dresses and waded into the refreshing water.  Falke was in a really frisky mood and the witches had lots of fun splashing water at each other, giggling non-stop.  Soon a family of beavers joined the fun, while Bob The Owl watched the endearing spectacle from a twig of a nearby tree, smiling and having a tear in his eyes at the same time…

Leika is a DJ from the Black Forest in the South of Germany. Her musical spectrum ranges from slow to fast, from deep and versatile Downtempo to fluffy Techno and groovy Deep Tech. 

Her ability to adapt and transform makes it hard to pinpoint her style, but you can be sure that she always manages to make you smile.

"Sometimes life just rushes by and you just stand there: „Wait - what about me!“ Then you need to take a break, otherwise you don’t get anything done. So this is what this set is: the story of someone taking a short break in all the busy-ness of the daily grind, starting with much-needed calmness (beginning with a track I coproduced with my partner Konrad Dycke for our project Daeumelin, a long time ago), and then slowly picking up energy and developing into a more lighthearted sound, ending again with something peaceful."

After discovering the world of electronic music in 2000, today’s featured artist Muno has since experimented with classical, minimal house, and dance, before finding his definitive ‘intercultural dark’ sound. Formerly performing under the alias Gurtz during his electronic dance phase, Muno also performs as part of the trio Kermesse. In recent years, while travelling Europe, a new musical dimension opened for Muno so that he decided he wanted his music to bring fresh vibes for both his listeners and himself. “I returned home from a two month trip in Europe, I had heard a lot of artists playing very similar music. I understood that I needed something different after this trip” he said, “a new challenge”. So for today’s podcast he offers us a blend of his remastered tracks, as well as a few unreleased ones. The result is a calm and relaxing but also very playful mix which evokes feelings of cool waters dripping out through the speakers, with each new beat a colourful drop tapping on the water’s surface. Muno hopes this mix will remind his listeners to take a moment to slow down, to live simply, and to have patience. It is a call to reconsider what is truly necessary in our modern times, to think about what you want from this life, and to live in the moment, to enjoy the music and forget about everything else. 3 years ago, when SOLmundo الشمس العالم started, I had a clear vision of what I want it to sound like; the time I discovered the sounds I truly love — with room for improv and creativity.

When I recorded the first episode in 2017. I closed the mix with what has quickly become one of my all-time favorite tracks and artist (also played @ MDL Beast Festival 2019 in the Arabian Peninsula's Desert).   Fast forward 3 years, I’m very happy and honored to welcome Dandara as our guest artist for todays journey collaboration.

There’s no denying the economic situation in Lebanon is at a breaking point and affecting people’s livelihoods to a staggering degree. The government is unable to perform its essential duty in providing for its citizens. In the vacuum of governance and substantial economic security, the Lebanese economy is faltering, sliding into irrelevance and ultimately dissolution. These are difficult times.
					
The Food and Beverage sector in Lebanon is a staple of Lebanese economic activity and a boon for the cultural appreciation of life. Our sector is not immune to these dangers, and like all other businesses that are not deemed essential, have been forced to shut down. Thousands of businesses have closed, and the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Nightclubs and Pastries in Lebanon (http://syndicatercnp.com/) asserts that up to 25,000 people have lost their jobs since September 2019 in the hospitality scene alone. The ongoing lockdown due to Covid-19 is fast-tracking an already fragile situation. As always, the most affected are those who rely on daily income, who rely on us to open our doors.
					
In the electronic music nightlife scene of Lebanon- it is the non-managerial employees who rely on daily income rates and tips from customers to sustain their livelihood. The runners, cleaners, bartenders, waiters. All the staff that put the show up and take the show down, that cater to every need. We are powerless to help without the ability to open our doors. We feel a sense of urgency and responsibility.

And alongside the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Nightclubs and Pastries in Lebanon are teaming up to bring you Electronic Labor Day- a three-day, virtual electronic music festival.
					
The marathon will be broadcast on all platforms. You can join whenever you want, check back after breakfast.
					
We are taking every measure to ensure full transparency and accountability regarding this initiative. Throughout the festival, a Donate-Now link will be visible on screen, where viewers can donate to a common fund. A Committee of four has been created, with three representatives from the nightclubs of Beirut and a board member of the Syndicate: Founders Joe Mourani from Ballroom Blitz, Rabih Khabbaz from Projekt, Nemer Saliba from Überhaus, and Board Member Jad Abou Jaoude from the Syndicate of Owners of RCNP in Lebanon, in which the Syndicate has agreed to be Treasurer, responsible to manage the donations and distribute accordingly. 
Prospective applicants have until May 15th to apply through forms on our website (https://forms.gle/Wd8rDoL3Kqpiwyqh7). Individual applications will be reviewed by the Committee. All funds will be distributed equally among successful applicants who have been verified as non-managerial employees of their respective institutions.
