About this journey:
In the past 1.5 years, time passes differently than before. Slower and faster at the same time. No one was really prepared for this form of a global pandemic, a global crisis. It’s a long and tough wait, sometimes hoping and fearing. Existences are threatened directly or indirectly. For me, it also shows how little capacity the global North has in dealing with existential crises. Norms and moral boundaries are shifting, revealing all their ambiguity and hypocrisy. Many people in the global South are still waiting for vaccines, and here millions are not getting vaccinated out of irrational fears and assumptions. Terms like dictatorship are grossly distorted. Freedom is demanded, but it means selfishness, lack of empathy, bossiness and malice. There’s a loud and aggressive, hyperpivileged minority that screams the loudest. But people die in silence. A simple and frightening logic.  It is a matter of time. It is about patience. It's about courage. About renunciation. About each and every one. What exactly music and art can achieve in this disturbing time, we all define.

Sinfonía Lunar - a sonic compilation in honour of our beautiful & ever-present planetary companion. Always looking so utterly beautiful in all of her diverse appearances. While affecting so much of our daily lives with many of us not even consciously noticing what I appreciate most about her is the cyclic energy she delivers. Initiating as well as terminating different periods. This mix was recorded during the New Moon in the beginning of October and represents not only the shift into a new lunar cycle but also the slow shift from the super dynamic & high energy summer season into the shorter, slower and cosier days of autumn and winter. It’s time to decelerate and journey into oneself. Let’s reflect and process all that happened during the spring & summer months of 2024. Continually riding the smooth wave of 94 BPM, this mix is a trip through some very hypnotic, deep and organic downtempo that genuinely affected me all throughout the year and especially recently.
