Baird & Beluga are a San Francisco Bay Area folk duo made up of singer-songwriter Michael Downing and Bay Area performer Juliana Lustenader. The two met at the infamous Hotel Utah open mic in 2014 and have since joined together to create unique harmonies over haunting folk melodies. Some of Baird & Beluga's musical influences include The Civil Wars, Noah and the Whale, and Shakey Graves. When not performing as a duo, Juliana also sings backup vocals for Michael's rock band Redwood Skyline.
