This edition features TODD, a cherished friend of Det Gode Selskab and a pillar of the international club scene. Our journey with TODD began in 2022 when he visited Oslo’s Tiger City for our Library Party at Det Gamle Biblioteket. Since then, TODD has become an integral part of our extended family, admired for his meticulous approach to music and his profound understanding of global underground culture.

A key figure in the Scottish music scene and beyond, TODD’s career spans from celebrated residencies in Edinburgh to his influential role as editor of trommel, a platform shaping the modern soundscape of electronic music. Beyond his editorial expertise, TODD is a sought-after DJ, spinning at trommel events worldwide, from Madrid to Zanzibar and of course Oslo. His sets are a masterful fusion of house, techno, garage and minimal, all delivered with an infectious energy that lights up any room.

TODD’s mix for Det Gode Selskab is a deep dive into rolling, groovy minimalistic house, tech house, and techno, with flirtatious touches of sexy electro elements. Spring arrives, and with it, the new DSSmix by Tripmastaz. An artist with over two decades of experience in the music industry, delivering an endless spectrum of sounds and collaborating with figures like Ricardo Villalobos and DJ Sneak.

As a DJ, he has made his mark on some of the world's most prestigious festivals and clubs, including Sunwaves, Caprices, Boiler Room, and Hoppetosse, among others.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?
This mix was recorded in my studio with a pair of turntables and my custom made isolator EQ.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
I picked the records I felt at the moment and some of them are freshly bought and let them flow from one into another.
My focus most of the time is on the energy and groove flow of the set. And floating between styles and different eras of course.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…
I've just released and EP on one of my sub-labels called Respect The Craft.Legacy. These trax are pretty special to me as they were started back in 2003 and been sitting on my harddrive unfinished until the last year. The record is called 2003 Filez EP.
A few more EPs are in the pipeline. And summer is coming, open air gigs and all that good stuff. Also my party Respect the Craft in Golden Gate and Renate in Berlin this spring and summer.

4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?
For me these are all necessary elements to a proper, great party. 🙂

"For this fabric mix, I wanted to stay true to my vision of a DJ set: a selection blending unreleased tracks from UK producers, never-heard tunes from close friends, a few old school gems, and some fresh new releases that really speak to me.

The idea was to craft a mix I could actually play in a club. The hardest part? Trying not to get lost listening to all the unreleased stuff instead of focusing on the mix itself — so much exciting music, it was almost cruel to choose.

I recorded this mix using the Euphonia rotary mixer, which I absolutely love. It brings a different feel to the mix — smoother, deeper, more tactile.

Big thanks to fabric for the trust, and to everyone who contributed to this mix in one way or another.

Introduction -   

As gifted on the decks as he is in the studio, CHKLTE approaches music with a delicateness that defies his towering stature. Jonathan began sneaking into South Texas clubs at the age of 15 to DJ after countless hours of digging through online archives. 

CHKLTE is now a resident DJ behind the infamous Blacktone agency & party series that sparked out of Austin Texas, which regularly hosts the likes of Dyed Soundorom, Nicolas Lutz, Francesco Del Garda, tINI, Raresh, Praslea , Lamache and Robin Ordell.
The move from Jonathan to CHKLTE spurred a series of releases on labels such as OGE, We R The Aliens, Personality Disorder, Vatos Locos, Solid Grooves Raw, Moonfruit, Floorpiece Digital, Melotherapy and Honne Music to name a few. He has also launched 2 labels in recent years, a vinyl format label; CHOKO, and ChokoDIGI - a digital label exclusively through bandcamp, where you can find personal edits & originals.

 Now based in Ibiza & hailing from the US he can often be found controlling the dance floors Fabric London, Hi Ibiza, DC-10 Ibiza, Sunwaves Festival in Romania, Epizode & UNUM festivals in Albania, ADE in Amsterdam, Club der Visionaere and Tokyo to name a few.

For those uninitiated, Black loops has had a solid run of EPs over the years and has undoubtedly made his mark in the house scene. Not only is he a very respected house Dj and producer, he is a versatile drummer known for effortlessly blending genres with proper raw feel and energy.

For those lucky enough to be in Berlin, Riccardo will be preforming his debut album Always Moving with a full live band at Prince Charles on the 9th May. If you’re in the B then you’d be mad to miss it!

Luis Baquero, better known as Bakke, is a Colombian-American artist whose soul has been intertwined with the art of DJing since the age of 15.
