Songwriter, DJ and vocalist supreme Aruna is back in full force with her next solo single, "Reason To Believe." The LA-based artist will make her Enhanced Music debut on August 19 and already "Reason To Believe" is shaping up to be one of summer's most memorable vocal smashes, with premieres on A State of Trance #623 and Group Therapy with Above & Beyond #037. 

"I wanted to step outside of the box and create new lyrical patterns and melodies that I hadn't employed before," says Aruna. "That's why I co-wrote this track with someone new to EDM." 

She partnered with fellow Los Angeles musician, David Bowick of the band Alder, and says that working with someone outside of the tight-knit dance music scene brought a fresh perspective to her songwriting. The lyrics speak of spiraling downwards after loss and heartbreak but Aruna's vocals convey innocence and hope. Producer and composer Steve Kaetzel brought a score of sparkling piano melodies, wobbling, glitchy bass and soothing trance chimes wrapped with intricate vocal editing to make the track fit for at-home, easy listening or havoc-wreaking on the dance floor.

The tag team of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten has provided many memorable moments in 2012 thus far, with notable back to back sets in Birmingham, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas to name a few, and each occasion highlights their resurrection of Loops & Tings.

Originally released by Jens in 1993, Loops & Tings exemplified dance music’s explosion throughout Europe in the early part of that decade. The theme became even more familiar to listeners worldwide when Marco V applied his touch ten years after the original, yielding Loops & Tings relooped. Now with Markus Schulz on the verge of releasing his fourth artist album, Scream, he and Ferry Corsten conceive a fitting tribute for 2012 dancefloors.
Debuted during Ferry’s landmark 8 hour Corsten’s Countdown episode 250 broadcast from New York City, Loops & Tings has become an instant request in both DJs’ sets.  From the Electric Daisy Carnivals in Las Vegas and New York to the Godskitchen Boombox in Buenos Aires, and from Markus and Ferry’s respective Ibiza residencies at Privilege and Eden, their recreation allows the new wave of clubbers to enjoy that instantly recognisable melody, transcended from their previous generation.

The next chapter of Loops & Tings is here, and it is a welcome tribute.
