the idea behind this project, to me at least, is that each song was originally a piece of existing stimuli, that was then formed into a memory, and finally translated into musical terms - this is a representation of engrams.

"a unit of cognitive information imprinted in a physical substance, theorized to be the means by which memories are stored as biophysical or biochemical changes in the brain or other biological tissue, in response to external stimuli."

each song title also has a specific meaning to me, whether it be a reference to an experience from my life, a reference to something from some kind of media that i've enjoyed, a song used to create a song, or something that the song itself reminds me of, etc.

i encourage you to think about what colors or ideas or patterns or connections or thoughts come to you while it's playing.
