Radio Radio on Lockdown: Suze Ijó

Our April podcast comes from Amsterdam-based DJ, producer, and label owner Robert Bergman. @robert-bergman

Formerly part of the Rush Hour Records crew, we’ve been following Robert’s Redlight Radio show for a long time. If you haven't listened, the show covers many genres, but usually leans to the lo-fi and leftfield side of House, Techno, New Wave, World and Folk music (amongst others).

As a producer, he’s released some killer music on labels such as Dekmantel and L.I.E.S., as well as mixtapes on The Trilogy Tapes, and several releases on his own label BREW, which he started in 2016.

We’re so happy to share this mix, which is typically eclectic, full of great music, and perfect for listening to at home, or wherever you might be locked down.

We are very pleased to bring you the latest episode of the Bside Incoming series, this time from one of Amsterdam’s most exciting DJs and most dedicated selectors: Victor Crézee.

Rising through the ranks as a prodigious teenage Hip-Hop DJ under the name Lil’ Vic, he has since outgrown the Lil’ and established himself as a giant of the game. 
A truly versatile disk jockey with a diverse array of influences, always eager to explore the more peculiar corners of music. Renowned among his Amsterdam audiences for an ability to create a flawless flow of vibration, transforming disparate moods into a seamless soundscape. 

Vic is a true veteran of the Amsterdam scene and a familiar face at all the most important music institutions including the Dekmantel Selectors and Lente Kabinet festivals.
He’s held down many residencies across the city, culminating with his current parties at Garage Noord.
With regular showcases of his collection on his monthly NTS and Redlight Radio appearances. It is with great pleasure that we can bring you a Victor Crezée broadcast of the Bside variety.

Expect eerie underground sounds, a journey through the leftfield, and the kind of deep pulsating beats that provide the foundation of his remarkable reputation.

I try to play music that resonates with me in a profound way, in hopes that someone might also connect with it as well. Expect to hear music you have never heard before as well as classics that make you feel good. The show often includes a great mix of guests, often who are heavy collectors in the record community.
