This week @haptic_feedback paid a visit to the PHTM studio. This cat has been making waves in the Vancouver scene for time, whether crushing solo sets or performing as the dynamic duo PUBU alongside the equally talented Max Ammo.

Haptic's productions are likely to induce an astral projection.. Beautifully layered ambient textures and deep, trippy rhythms lay awaiting for your listening pleasure. His release on the most recent @pprzrecords v/a titled 'Cataract' is one of the shining lights of the comp too.

This mix showcases his deep, hypnotic sound blended with more club-focused techno and electro.

While I used Voltage Modular to control everything I did an experiment and rather than generating any actual sounds I converted the sequenced and generative control messages to MIDI and routed them to external synths. As part of this I was able to take my own input and convert it into playable "Sparkly" bursts.

Synths used:
Omiharp - Puremagnetik
Aperuit - Puremagnetik
Speldosa - Klevgrand
Miniverse - Cherry Audio

The output of each then routed to various delays, filters and reverb effects. 


Although the only things recorded were MIDI information and mixer automation the track including note probabilities and velocity modulations, is as performed  apart from a little trimming for time. 


Deep In The Night - (naviarhaiku - 621)

Zavata: A Slice of Time soundtrack by Ruslan Perezhilo. The film is directed by Fernando Antonio Maffei, produced by Francesco Tribuzio, with cinematography by Lisa Muzzulini and sound by Massimiliano Borghesi. The cover features a painting by Barbara Stefani. This international project was shot in Trieste, Italy, with some post-production completed in the United Kingdom. The film features actors Francesco Tribuzio, Alessia Franchin, Zoe Pernici, Mefehnja Tatcheu, Susanna Gilardi, Michela Cembran, and Lorenzo Acquaviva.

This is Track 5 out of 6.

A Healing Spice

Composed, arranged and performed on a three-day session by Rhys Trimble, AntiRock Missile Ensemble (ARME) and Wolframite at les Ateliers de Bitche, Nantes, Nov 2022.
