"Airbnd is a Manchester based DJ from Preston who loves scouting around for records. Regular at Sammy’s Bar as well as at Preston’s In:Libra he shares a passion for radio. In recent months he’s hosted shows on Noods, as well as provided a guest mix for “Kickin’ Pigeon’s Galactic Bounce” on NTS. Unhappy settling on a particular style or genre anything pretty much goes within his sets. He enjoys playing for longer periods of time and thrives of sharing the decks with friends and new people!

An hour of Italo disco, bouncy house and synth fuelled rhythms to accompany you as the seasons change and an air of hope for a potential third summer of love fills the country. A mix written and recorded back in May 2020 with still quite a naive outlook on the length of the pandemic, the mix was recorded to accompany the near ending of the pandemic, however little did I expect what the year to come held. Now in a position where the mix being released could really be truly reflective of the current time, it feels fitting to share something I am hugely proud of."

@vvvorppp is a Chicago-based artist, DJ, resident, and co-founder of @darkheavenco, an event company curating immersive and thematic events. At a young age, Vorp immigrated from Minsk to Louisville, KY, where his musical upbringing was rooted in classical piano and post-hardcore bands. 

Vorp is not bound to any specific genre, finding catharsis in blending raw techno, acid electro, bass breaks––all with left-field underlying nuances. Chicago's underground electronic scene and queer community have relentlessly influenced him after a decade of calling the city his home. Anticipating the launch of Dark Heaven's record label with a VA compilation and the debut of an EP in 2023, he aims to promote underground artists while fostering a signature sound.

Kicking off our guest mix series for 2021 is the UK born, Berlin based, Guava!

The former Kristina Records employee, @HoldingHandsRecords staple and sound production wizard delivers 51 minutes (100% Guava)of club bass and ambient textures, perfectly fitting for the chaotic introduction to the year. 

If you're unfamiliar with Guava, be sure to check out previous releases on the HH V/A's, Slam Jams Vol 1 & 2. His full EP on Control Freak Recordings also provides but a glimpse of the ability to deliver a true body of work encapsulating his journey as a guitarist, time as a music student and experience composing for TV & Film. The kinda tunes that journey through multiple stories despite being a single track, mixed perfectly and enjoyed at home just as much as the club. 

Additional discography includes appearances on HH pal @Breakaleeds' label, @ScenicRoute_ldn and a feature on @Nick-Hoeppner's Touch From A Distance. 

We're looking forward to hearing what he cooks up in 2021 but for now here's a 100% Guava mix filled with old bits and new!
