For the 80th instalment of our UKBMix series, we welcome to the fold one of our favourite rising artists right now, the big bad Fiesta Soundsystem.

The London-based producer and DJ has been lighting up the scene over the past couple of years with his utterly formidable and uncompromising sound, forged within his clear love and passion for all things Breakbeat and dipping in and out of a plethora of different styles such as Jungle, Drum & Bass, UKG and more.

His acclaimed releases have been put out by labels such as Warehouse Rave, ec2a, Scuffed Recordings and Shall Not Fade, who under their hugely popular sub-label Time Is Now, released his sensational debut album Rites Of Passage last year.

His UKBMix is a perfect encapsulation and representation of his heavyweight sound. Breathlessly breakneck at times and weird & wonderful at others, this is a worldie of a mix and one we can't wait wait for you to wrap your ear holes around. Blow off your headtop material!

We had a chat with the man himself and he talked about his UKBMix, "The mix was more or less entirely off the cuff, just having fun playing propulsive beatsy tunes and dancing around my living room, 140 up to 170 over the course of 90 minutes."

UK-based producer Borai is one of the artists behind one of my fave labels Club Glow alongside Denham Audio, LMajor and Mani Festo. He’s been involved in the industry for over 15 years now with releases and remixes on labels such as E-Beamz, Them Recordings, Sneaker Social Club and Infiltrate to name a few. And with Borai being the moniker for his jungle and breaks releases, he’s also part of a death metal band Spiritflesh with DJ October.

Earlier this month, Borai returned with a new solo EP ‘Need U’ on the Club Glow imprint, also marking the label’s second vinyl release. It’s a brilliant addition to the vibrant, high NRG back catalogue the label has become known for. To celebrate the release, Borai has contributed pummelling power hour, rolling at breakneck speed featuring glistening jungle anthems ~ a perfect soundtrack for these forthcoming warm and wavy summer evenings.

We apologise for the delay in our schedule, but we had to make preparations for the arrival of a queen 👑 Kick starting the weekend and bringing some serious fiiiiire with 40 minutes of hardcore for Mix 18, it’s none other than @mixtresss. 

Fresh off a(nother) Late Night Shopper set, @djmag feature, @rinsefm debut (alongside the main lobster and memelord @asquithhhhh), @subtleradio guest shows, and a Reprezent guest show (amongst many others)... is there anything this gal isn’t doing at the minute? Not forgetting her ongoing @balamii residency, Mixtress is taking the DJ world by an absolute storm... and that’s all before clubs have even opened their doors again. 

Mixtress was kind enough to give a bit of insight to the method behind the madness and what to expect from her as clubs ready to open their doors again... So grab a Guinness, and *don’t* settle down, cos the next 40 minutes are full of some serious fast cuts ‘n blends and a relentless bass to keep you on your feet.

GAB burst onto the scene last summer with their Edit Room series & ‘We Are Viable’ compilation both making waves - they have quickly became an exciting & recognised force in the Leeds scene and across the UK.

We knew they wouldn’t disappoint when we asked them for a mix, this one is an absolute banger! A finely selected & mixed showcase of sounds from many corners of the UK scene - breakbeat, electro, techno, UKG, bass, grime, and more - starting from 128BPM, gradually pushing the tempo up to 150 & beyond.
