What a niche touch of folk, never thought this could stick like glue and paper;; Great work!

We were put on to Rotterdam via Belfast DJ and producer Kessler last year thanks to Manchester club night-turned-label Left, Right & Centre. His blistering contribution to their second V/A release, which we premiered last year, blew our tiny little minds and had us waiting on tenterhooks for what else he had up his sleeve.

Since then he's released a full EP via Shall Not Fade (tip!), adding to his catalogue of releases on labels like Yellow Island, Born Sleepy, Nocturne and Ying Yang, which all explore his passion for breaks, bass, techno and the spaces in between.

We invited him to take care of this week's Ransom Note mix which moves through the sounds that influence his own productions. If you need a helping hand getting over hump day, you've come to the right place...

JAZZ was live with the second instalment of her residency with us. She ran through 2 hours of fast-paced Electro, techno, dub, breaks and garage sounds. Lots of new and exclusive bits inside from the likes of  Conair, Shawn Cartier, Z. James, Two Shell and Max Hain, Fauzia, Laksa, Tristan Arp, and Balamii family Bluetoof.

LT Podcast 176 // Nikki Nair

UK-based producer Borai is one of the artists behind one of my fave labels Club Glow alongside Denham Audio, LMajor and Mani Festo. He’s been involved in the industry for over 15 years now with releases and remixes on labels such as E-Beamz, Them Recordings, Sneaker Social Club and Infiltrate to name a few. And with Borai being the moniker for his jungle and breaks releases, he’s also part of a death metal band Spiritflesh with DJ October.

Earlier this month, Borai returned with a new solo EP ‘Need U’ on the Club Glow imprint, also marking the label’s second vinyl release. It’s a brilliant addition to the vibrant, high NRG back catalogue the label has become known for. To celebrate the release, Borai has contributed pummelling power hour, rolling at breakneck speed featuring glistening jungle anthems ~ a perfect soundtrack for these forthcoming warm and wavy summer evenings.

Firing out mixes at a frankly terrifying rate, his smooth, downtempo mix for the @pollination-uk series caught our attention. He's on top form for his mix here, pulling together a wide array of dark, glitchy percussive heat in a way that feels fresh and foreboding, yet never oppressive.

Constantly flying the flag for the @more-cowbell crew, he comes correct with a selection of tunes from around the globe and from some of the best labels about. Showing a deep knowledge and passion for various sounds, this shows why he's one to watch!
