Right, come on...stop winding us up!! What is this tune??? It's not listed...the tune before it isn't either (even though the person who made it said "thanks" and you acknowledged him...it still isn't listed). This tracklisting is a proper windup. Renowned for cleverly fusing different musical influences into timeless contemporary jams, Athlete Whippet are a duo spread across Berlin and London and have become an integral part of both cities’ scenes in recent years with releases and remixes for the likes of Toy Tonics, Rhythm Section and Kitsuné Musique. Taking a communal approach to music making, they co-run artist collective and record label Squareglass - a proudly established home for new artists coming out of South London. They've also been hosting intimate nights with DJs from far across the electronic music ecosystem in London and Berlin since 2019. Guest sets from the likes of Seb Wildblood, Hidden Spheres, Jitwam, Glenn Astro, Aus Music head Will Saul, Lobster Theremin founder Asquith and some of London's brightest new talents have made for some unmissable parties in London's cosiest venues. The duo's releases have also come with reworks from Ross  from Friends, Baltra and Max Graef. Supporters incl. Pete Tong, Annie Mac (BBC 1), Tom Ravenscroft, Jamz Supernova (BBC 6), Mixmag, DJ Mag. Following a lockdown season with shows on Balamii, Rinse FM, HÖR and Worldwide FM (with guests incl. Nicola Cruz, Lefto, Nightwave), the duo have ended 2021 with European tour dates alongside Session Victim, Dan Shake, Paula Tape, Esa Williams and COEO. Their latest EP 'Nogueira' has seen strong support across DSPs, landing them on the cover of Spotify's 'Fresh Finds Dance' playlist.

Boyd V is a music fanatic with a love for funk, boogie, disco, and electronic music from all corners of the world. Being based in Amsterdam and surrounded by a lot of good record stores, this mix consists of some recent finds, one home-made production and a few personal favourites like Jolley & Swain – Soul Street, creating a nice blend of different genres. 

Boyd V’s top 3:
1. Lis’a – Mich’e – Absolutely amazing house track I found recently. Case of love at first listen!
2. Alexis Laik – Danse, Danse, Danse – French funk record. Soft but beautiful. I love a good French synth-pop/disco/boogie record, and this is one of my favourites. It has got a nice instrumental version as well. 
3. Arthur Russel - In the Light – super deep jazz-funk track. A thirteen-minute journey into sound. Arthur Russel is an amazing artist, who unfortunately passed away at a young age (40). However, his musical legacy of beautiful music like this track remains for us to enjoy.

It's funny to think that Richard Sen has been so prevalent amidst the electronic music community for so long given that he remains such a focused presence on the edge of the underground and cutting edge communities. 

His music is timeless and channels a vast array of influences and structures. Sporadic, wild and free he has never been one to be tamed, placed in a box and told how to play. From his youthful days spent painting ths mean streets of London through to his acid laden take on old school club music he has amassed a reputation as one of the best in Britain. Recent outings on the likes of Emotional [Especial] and Firehouse only demonstrate his immense talent even more.
