There was a time many years ago a artist wonder the west side highway in New York City. He would listen to cassette tapes on his walk-man and visualize the images that the sounds brought to his mind. In those days this sound was new, futuristic and thought provoking. He Would have visions of a world full of compassion, understanding and togetherness. A world where everyone were saw themselves in one another a place of true love and respect for their fellow beings. The artist would walk for hours spending time in this imaginary place as it represented hope and inspiration. This gave him fuel for what he would years later become.

Who is this artist you may ask? His name is Fred P.

Reminiscent Era is a call back to those days of the Westside Highway where Fred would listen continuously the deep emotive music that put him in a trance like state. Almost dream like as he would wander for hours in another world hoping for a brighter future. The music presented here represents the mood and emotions if his foot steps could talk. Each step a chapter in a story. Minimal, lush and deep music designed for the mind to assist in a deeper Concentration.

My hope is to reach the people who may be in that space I was in all those years ago. My hope Is to provide the same inspiration within the music that was bestowed upon my on those cassette tapes. This my humble offering to pay it forward to the aspiring creative class yet to be discovered. I bid you peace, love and respect as we Journey On…

Signals vol. 48 Ryan Scannura [ Deep Club ] 

Ryan Scannura hails from the techno heartland of the Midwest, where he cultivated a deep intrinsic connection to the rituals of DJs and dancers united in rhythm and bass.  Soon after relocating to Colorado he established the party, record label, podcast series, and DIY sound system known as Deep Club. Currently in its seventh year, Deep Club has marked its growth with a string of five compelling vinyl releases, dozens of diverse podcasts, and even more events on the horizon. 
While original crew members keep operations steady on the Front Range, Ryan has begun the task of setting up an east coast HQ for future Deep Club expansion in his new home of New York City.

In his words: “I don’t often get to listen to music just for pleasure on a Monday morning, but if I did, this is what I’d want. Aiding that fragile ease back into reality, turning up the comfort, familiarity and motivation dials, but always keeping things below a level 4 or 5.”
