1. Tell us about past and future releases you have:

My debut EP was released in 2023 on Anna Morgan and Bell Curve’s label Worst Behavior, my second EP was released in October 2024 on The Glitch Mob’s label, All The People. I have also released a couple of tracks on compilations for these two labels. Coming up in February, I plan to self release some jungle edit packs of some throwback RnB songs, as well as my favorite K-Pop songs. 


2. Tell us about gigs you have coming up:

On 1/31 I will be opening for Saka in Los Angeles at the Echoplex, and on 2/1 we will be appearing together again in San Francisco!

3. Who are your favorite Jungle & Footwork artists at the moment?

I would say my favorite producers of these genres at the moment would be UFO!, Thys, LMajor, Fixate, and Rohaan.

Fam Records News: the new release from Morpha is here.
This’s his first full-length album in two years. What does it sound like? Morpha explains.

I stopped making music in my usual genre, so I spent long time experimenting and searching for a new sound. In that sense, the FAM label became a place where I could finally feel free. An important symbiosis happened — core values aligned with my need for something new.

How did it all start? I literally opened Ableton and went into the unknown. No reference tracks, just a desire to create something fresh. I was interested in layering my hypnotic background with new BPMs and rhythms, trying out breaks and bass sounds. These tracks weren’t inspired by any other artist.

At the same time, I was working on a dancefloor project at Mutabor on Masalnaya, embedding those same 85/170 experiments. That’s a profound and significant experience for me — hence the release’s name. There’s no need to look for a direct connection between that experience and the tracks themselves. I’d say it just sounds cool, looks good, and it’s a personal milestone for me.

Info about Ez a Divat Band

Live band from Hungary, plays mostly jazzy drum & bass and dub with a captivating female vocal.

The story of the band is getting longer and longer as time passes by. Ez a Divat was formed back in 1993 by bassist Lakinger József as one of the innumerable high-school alternative bands. During the years, the sound of the band underwent some significant changes. The line-up solidified in 1997 with Asztalos Dávid on the drums, Gál Dániel on the keys and Kovács Ádám on the saxophone. In the coming two years, Ez a Divat spent most of its time experimenting with genres adjacent to jazz.

These experiments took a slightly different direction when singer Csorba Melinda joined the band in the last days of 1999. Morphing into a vocal-centred band made the instrumental parts move to the background. However, some of the tunes still revolve around jazz, the emphasis is less on the individual solos and more on the band as it is, that is creating the music together.
