Coming in with the selections this week is a head whose been sitting near the top of our list for a while now… 

Presenting the heavily talented and often elusive DJ & producer: Tower Block Dreams 🔥 

@towerblockdreams was brought up in Brighton, moved to South London, now located in Madrid. He’s heavily influenced by stripped back fruity loops grime beats, with a production style that’s a hybrid of the sickest underground garage and grime. He creates instantly nostalgic sounds, but with a tight, clean, modern production. A proper mashup of skippy beats and old skool vocals. 

He’s had tunes remixed by @interplanetary-criminal and he’s always getting nods from the most legendary heads in the scene (shout out @skreamizm every time) - you’re gonna hear a lot more of him soon, trust. 

His guest mix is packed full of upcoming tracks (did you expect anything less from SOLITUDE?) and it steps up nicely to showcase a range of his production skills and favourite tracks of the moment.

Tower Block Dreams has a 5 track vinyl EP dropping in January that’s already a must cop. He’s just released a single entitled “Be The One” with an official video out now on YouTube. It’s a beautiful tune that oozes soul, laced with lo-fi inspired percussions and some excellent vocals to balance it out..

He’s also currently working on a full album which will be a mixture of grime beats and UKG riddums for you to kick back to. From Madrid with love 🇪🇸 ♥️

For the inaugural contribution to the DRIFT X Midnight Bass mix series, Bristol based @xsemprax brings us a beautiful chilled out mix residing on the fringes of jungle and liquid dnb.  

For 45 mins, Sempra weaves elements of atmospheric jazz together with breaky soulful cuts and lush pads to create a retro sounding mix created for the year 2022, bringing back memories of compilations by DJs such as Peshay and LTJ Bukem but giving them a slick, polished feel. 

Including a number of his own tracks, - as well as bits by the likes of Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, Skyro, Carlito (and many more) - the first contribution to this series masterfully combines the elements that each collective is best known for into a blend of club style music that you can listen to at home.

Peaky Beats Presents - Harpriya 

PB Presents is back after a short break with none other than Leeds based Harpriya who takes us through 50 minutes of Dubstep and Grime.

Leeds-based Harpriya has already made a name for herself playing in multiple cities, supporting the likes of Mike Skinner, Neffa-T, Tañ, Jay Carder and FKA Sicaria Sound. Her versatile style reflects her broad taste - drawing from her Panjabi heritage and her love of middle eastern music, her taste bridges the gap between dubstep, techno and funky with a percussive undertone that propels her sets.
 
Harpriya also co-runs EN:YO who are making a name for themselves in the Leeds scene.
