Wemoto Radio welcomes Tom Jarmey!

Having already made a huge impact in a very short space of time on the electronic music scene, following releases for 13th Hour Recordings, Shadow City and R.A.N.D, he recently released his debut long player “Amber Glass“ on Lobster Theremin’s Distant Horizons where he seamlessly blends breathtaking soundscapes, luscious vocals and soaring synth hooks. And with more releases in the pipeline and mixes in circulation for a host of channels, Tom is one to watch.   

His mix is a masterful one hour recording packed with all things from house and techno, sprinkled with some of his favourite 90’s ravey break tunes, mixed to perfection at home using nothing more than a pair of CDJ’s and a mixer. Be sure to check out the interview as well. Enjoy!

The Bside of... Toy Tonics

This is one of those episodes that we’ve been excited to bring you for a while now! 
“The Bside of…” mixtapes so far have proven to be up there with our best and this one is certainly no different. 

We are transporting you to Germany to place you in the very capable hands of co-founder Kapote, he stands out as a brilliant producer and selector in his own right so it’s a privilege to have him guide us through a playlist of his very own favourites from The Bside of… Toy Tonics!!!

Since 2015 Toy Tonics have been breathing a breath of fresh air into soul and disco, with their tasteful edits and carefully curated new productions making them possibly the hottest record label to recently emerge from Germany. Their style is an infectious fun that can explode into euphoric joy on any dance floor across the world.
Beyond their releases they have proven themselves as one of Europe’s best parties, with the Toy Tonics Jam series inviting many of the label's favourite artists to do their thing at the best clubs across the continent.

Toy Tonics now has over 100 releases, EPs, Albums, Compilation Series, Edits and Original Productions. They are as prolific as they are consistently excellent, and they always aim to push the boundaries of “new house and futuristic electronic dance music”.

The Toy Tonics roster includes founders Munk and Kapote, COEO, Whitesquare, Blackloops, PBR Streetgang, Demuja, Felipe Gordon, FYI Chris, Dimitri from Paris, Phenomenal Handclap Band, not to mention some previous guests Rhode & Brown, and Jad & The. Not bad huh!

The most recent release certainly lives up to the high expectations that TT sets itself: Mushroom House Vol.1 which is compiled by our very own Bside host Kapote.

The Toy Tonics team also let us in on some in info and snippets of their first release of 2021... Boy are we excited for it! We can tell you that it is Cody Curry's first solo EP on Toy Tonics, and is titled 'Moves EP', featuring Eliza Rose on the vocals on the main track. Each track sounds beautiful, filled with 'atmospheric garage-y broken beat territory as an ode to his London roots. Rich chords, catchy hooks and hard hitting rhythms.' They also told us that Joel Holmes and Athlete Whippet are in line for the next Toy Tonics releases in the coming months...
