Love Injection is a New York music and culture monthly fanzine in print since February 2015, founded by DJs, archivists, and audio enthusiasts Paul Raffaele and Barbie Bertisch. Their namesake record label launched in 2020. Avid record and audio enthusiasts, Paul is also an art director and Barbie writes and performs music with various projects.

Explores Jung's Shadow Resistance—the internal struggle against limiting beliefs and internalised doubts. Doubt personifies as a "squatter in the rooms of my potential," dragging chains of inherited fear and family patterns. The song charts the journey from being trapped by self-limiting beliefs to learning doubt's language and translating warnings into "maps of resistance." The core Jungian insight: by confronting rather than avoiding our shadow doubts, we transform them from predators into guides, reclaiming our psychological territory until "my body: a country where his passport no longer works." In a world fractured by chaos, where the streets bear scars of neglect and violence, a group of children find refuge not in walls or toys, but in imagination. They ride rusted bikes through ruined landscapes, laughing and racing past remnants of a city that has forgotten them. Every scrape on their knees is a badge of resilience, every grin a declaration that joy can survive even in the hardest places.

With chalk-stained hands and glittered spirits, they paint sunsets on concrete and stars in the sand, transforming pain into vibrant colours that refuse to fade. They turn broken spaces into playgrounds, creating realms where fear gives way to faith and loss transforms into grace. Even as sirens wail and the skyline burns, they see beauty in the dust and dreams in the smoke, proving that hope can flourish in the most unlikely corners.

As night drips violet over the city, the children glide through chaos like rivers of chrome, voices humming in unison, hearts in sync with the rhythm of survival. They navigate a world that often tries to crush them, yet within their minds, they are architects of wonder, their candy paint dreams illuminating the darkness, teaching that even in a broken land, the soul can still breathe.

Through every hardship, every shadow, they continue to dream, to gleam, to shine, not seeking crowns or kings, but simply claiming the power to turn sorrow into light. In the midst of decay, they are unseen monarchs of a world they’ve created, and their candy paint dreams endure, a testament to the resilience of imagination, hope, and joy.
