Based in South London, Kit Grill is a producer, label boss and radio host on NTS. Since 2013 he has run his own imprint, Primary Colours, which has acted as an outlet for his own music and that of a few friends.

He tends to create material which sits somewhere between the fringes of balearic, ambient, krautrock and downtempo. It nods to pioneers of the infamous 'fourth age' but remains very much rooted in the present and future of electronic music. 

His radio show also acts as an outlet in which to showcase music which has inspired and influenced him - the material featured is often broad, eclectic and highly listenable. This mix shares a close likeness.

Teakup brings the wafters. 

Teakup’s ‘Lose My Mind’ was on repeat for most of last year. After hearing it in Doc Sleep’s Truancy mix, I was instantly hooked. It became a sort of comfort track for me during the first wave of the lockdown, weird as that might sound as it’s very much a dancefloor record, destined for slinky clubs but I think that was exactly why it gave me great comfort. It was a mood lifter, reminding me of fond memories and got me dancing again, whether that was my bedroom, living room or just in my chair. 

And now the mighty returns and we’re super excited to have him on board for our series, showcasing his signature wonky and trippy style. The Ohio-based producer released ‘Sips Tea’ EP on HOMAGE last week, packed with six off-kilter house tracks and has previously landed on Titonton Duvante’s Residual Recordings and Tony Fairchild’s is / was label.
