Melbourne has never shied away from producing progressive artists who explore the darker side of sound, and Mike Rish is the latest in a long line of esteemed talent to emerge from the city. Yet, he’s slowly carving out a unique niche—an unmistakable rogue-ish frequency that’s both chugging and energetic, playful yet serious. In fact, it’s a whirlwind of emotions at any given moment, but it's always there.

However, don't box him in as a merchant of the moody. When he’s not hiding in the shadows, he shimmers like glitter. A Dub Techno Journey is a compilation that traverses Dantes circles of Hell, transforming them into hypnotic and profound soundscapes. Each track represents a canto from Dantes Inferno, interpreted by producers from different parts of the world, united by a shared sensitivity for dub techno vibrations. The idea was conceived by Francesco Tamburrano, who envisioned a musical journey blending literature and sonic exploration, and took shape through the collaboration with the label Superordinate, always attentive to visionary projects with an international scope. The result is a dark and immersive path, where enveloping basslines and deep echoes guide the listener on a sonic pilgrimage through Dantes Inferno.

Melbourne’s Matty Doyle aka Matter, can rightly be considered a veteran of the Australian scene.
It makes sense that his productions have been signed to labels including Proton Music, Joof, Aura, and Replug, with the purist nature of his tracks being tailor-made for those imprints.
His passion goes deeper than just a love for music, and his philosophy, is one that understands that sound is spiritually connected to the bigger picture of life, as a whole. For the last 5 years, he has been producing dance floor weapons alongside another Melbourne native, GMJ. For proof, check their new release 'Emerge' on Balance Music, alongside fellow Australian producer Funkform. The two-track EP is designed to ignite any dancefloor.
