Baldo and ASOK are two artists who certainly know how to keep themselves busy. Two big underground names who found time to sit side by side with the next EP from Good Ratio Music. Release dedicated to the 1978's BBC Radio 4 series The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

Stu Robinson aka ASOK is someone who has amassed a fine understanding of a wide array of scenes, styles and sounds from d&b to electro funk, disco to house and techno. With 20 years record collecting and almost 15 years DJing, the music this producer releases is an amalgamation of all that and more. It has found favour with esteemed labels like Use of Weapons, M>O>S, Lobster Theremin and Mule Musiq, plus running his own Scenery imprint. On this GRM's release his tracks are clearly marked by a dark influence. Two cuts fulled with analog feelings that come across to you with a crunchy, distorted and saturated soul.

On the flip we have Baldo, an artist who has truly caught the house essence with his own deep vision. The man who 6 years ago started from scratch in Barcelona is today one of the artists that represent the future of the city. Currently resident of the unknown Razzmatazz, Baldo is no newcomer to the scene, having been involved for the last ten years. He completes the vinyl with drum clusters of his "707” adding a melancholic vibe, elements that accentuate the vision he brings together with his machines. Both tracks have a greater variety of layers and samples, and its rhythm change is more "infectious" as a result. Each of these tracks work straight out of the gate, and can add to any DJ’s record bag.

Baldo @ Sónar Barcelona 2015

Baldo's next EP is released on Good Ratio Music, the label run by himself and his buddy Carlo. As far as we remember the Barcelona based producer had always an affinity for dirty drum-machines rhythms and buzzing analog sounds.

Baldo can be recognised by his choice of style, a fierce and confident House, pure in intent and effective in execution. And this is exactly what you should expect in this new EP.

For the eighth instalment of the label they have the remix coming directly from NYC. The boss of Let’s Play House, Jacques Renault has remixed The Change, giving to the track a whole different mind to the track and making a round EP, ready to roll this summer.

Twirl @twirlchicago returns with a luscious offering from Barcelona’s nightlife stalwart Baldo, featuring the inimitable (and Twirl staple) Josh Caffe @josh-caffe . The duo pair up for ‘Mind Games’, a classic Chicago style house burner reminiscent of the great Finger’s, Inc.

The Original Mix of ‘Mind Games’ whirls and enraptures with its smooth percussive elements, slick pads, and well-paced arrangement. Caffe’s lush vocals heighten the seduction as he weaves nimbly around the track with his sultry timbre.

The Breaks Mix ventures into the mystique of the rave, adding more muscular drums and bringing the beefy bassline to the forefront. Caffe’s vocals still hold firmly in the center, winding flirtatiously around the pumping track. If the Original Mix is suitable to bring you into the night, the Breaks Version is perfect for diving further into its depths.

Longtime Twirl family member Hannah Holland @hannah-holland flips the track into a pulsating banger for her remix. With chopped up vocals, a driving acid bassline, jackin’ percussion, and twisted pads from the Original Mix, Holland creates a monster of a track that deftly straddles the line between house and techno.

Industry veteran The Checkup @checkupofficial rounds out the package with his energetic, house stomper of a remix. Caffe’s vocals are highlighted, adding a punchier, stuttering kick, extrapolated synth pads and stabbing, moody organ. It is a delightful turn that’s sure to ignite the finest of dancefloors.

Eusebeia - Cast Out (Baldo's Warehouse Remix)

Over the last couple of years, Baldo has been building a great style in the contemporary house music scene catching the attention of Andrade who have recruited him for this new five tracker EP called "Far Away".

With a well developed sensitiveness, Baldo has featured a sensual combination of a great tech house and susceptible feelings in this Ep... an impressionable outstanding work resulted from this very special cocktail. Three crisply produced tracks likely to spoil the senses with delicate melodies and bass-driven sound. There is no more to say about those tracks as they speak for themselves.

Once more we have great guests to remix this single for us. Le Loup remix is simply awesome. This protagonist of the Paris scene who has released in Wolf+Lamb in the past and lately in Eklo and Fragil re-creates a dubby version of the main track of the EP: In The Crowd, setting a great atmosphere and a deep experience.

Last but not least, we got the remix from our good friend John Dimas (Bass Culture, Claap, Dame Music) who introduces a darker approach to the dancefloor with his acid house tool remake of Glass Table.
