BALELOKO are a GROUP of 3 Self Motivated individuals namely Thato Maphiri, Shem Qabatsane and Solly Moerane, born out of the Vaal Triangle [LEKOA] and it was established in November 2006. 

They are armed with profound skill and talents from different angles, listening to this immaculate fusion of HIP-HOP deep rooted ethnic and contemporary sounds, laced with the rawness of Sesotho rap– one earns themselves a passport to the land of giants, because they are simply mind traveling, while creating a harmonious and friendly relationship with the listeners ears.

BALELOKO is the Sotho word meaning Family. 

While growing up together, the group was also inspired by everyday life and the evidence lies in the lyrics, which makes one reflect, and with their fresh and unique approach they’ve managed to win the hearts of many among the young; their peers and the old.

As performing artist- BALELOKO has established a favorable position for themselves, by registering a recording label named BLACK REPUTATION ENTERTAINMENT CC, which they operate as its executives. Jane Qabatsane[Shem] is Chief Engineer, Thato Maphiri [Ka'sebele] Chief Executive, Solly Moerane [Msolomba] Chief Composer.
