Nikko.Z's Dopamine White continues a strong start to the year by welcoming Nacho Ross to the label for his debut EP. Argentinean artist Nacho Ross began his journey into electronic music at the age of sixteen, taking inspiration from the likes of Dusty Kid, Plastikman and The Chemical Brothers. The world of music production followed shortly thereafter as the Buenos Aires resident developed his own progressive minded sound. Now known for his atmospheric harmonic progressions, edgy synths and complex rhythmic patterns, Nacho has compiled a short but tidy discography across the last eight years, already finding a home on Julian Rodriguez's Massive Harmony Records. Now, adding Dopamine White to his resume, Nacho debuts on the label with a three-track showcase entitled 'Brave Enough'. 

Beginning with 'Brave Enough' Nacho aims squarely at a peak time dance floor with one of most engaging productions to date. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, rolling groove it's got infectious energy from the outset. Its powerful drive is encased in a perfect balance of electric rhythms, finely tuned percussion and dystopian atmospheres. Retro arps and phasing textures gently elevate mood while bringing greater emotional depth as the main break approaches. Murky atmospheres and muted chord stabs rise across the interlude, flowing through percolating arps, tactfully building tension as the groove drops for a prophetic finale.

Moving on to selection two, the journey continues with the deep, chugging vibes of 'You Just Dare'. Immediately captivating, its muscular bassline, dark undertones and shapeshifting effects make for a groovy first act. Rolling percussion and pensive overlays play off the well carved low end, making for an irresistible, hip swinging rhythm leading into the break. Swirling effects and melodic fragments create a tense canopy of sound as the centrepiece evolves, building anticipation towards a thumping final movement.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the hypnotic qualities of 'Temptation'. Beginning with perfectly sculpted beats and buzzing rhythms it's a production that's compelling from the start. Clattering percussive arrangements and collapsing waves of light slowly encase the framework, as the low end moves through rolling contours and mountainous undulation. Building to a feverish pitch, it's a retro-arp which proves most striking, adding further depth and drama throughout a spine-tingling apex. Energetic and tense in equal measure, it rounds out what is an inspired EP from Nacho Ross, an artist who continues to rise up through the progressive house landscape as 2023 begins to take shape.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint opens the month of March by showcasing new interpretations of Jean Caillou’s ‘Simplon’. Released in March of last year, the five-track showcase was not only a prime example of the Swiss artist’s creative attitude but a highlight in the label’s catalog. Supported by deep and organic DJs alike, Sound Avenue now looks to bring new life to the project by inviting HAEN, St.Ego, Jayden Klight, Evernaya and Umannto to re-imagine it for 2023’s spring season.

Rounding out the release and also making his label debut is Umannto who provides the lone interpretation of ‘Simplon’. For German artist Umannto it was a childhood love for hip-hop culture which led the Stuttgart resident to begin his journey into electronic music production. What began as creating hip-hop, rap, drum & bass and dubstep would eventually lead to producing organic house. Born out of a love for old folk music from the Orient, Balkans and other parts of the world, it was this sound which would see him make his debut in 2021 via Cafe De Anatolia. 2022 would then see Umannto gain further recognition within the genre’s trendsetting confines through releases via Sound Avenue affiliate 3rd Avenue and Swedish imprint House Music With Love. Now, adding Sound Avenue to his resume, Umannto caps off the release in style with an emotive rendition of ‘Simplon’.
