Daniel Testas might be a new name on MNL but the Amsterdam based artist has been active in the music scene since the early nineties already. So it's pretty safe to say we're welcoming a true industry veteran on board here.

For his debut within the Manual Music label family Daniel pleases us with two pieces of progressive house delight, rich of beautiful synth melodies and arps. Both Vagabond Bird as well as Crumbling Silence are true gems that work as well on the dance floor as they do at home or in your car.

On the flipside Around Us and Ric Niels elevate this EP even more with their immaculate reworks.

Jamie Stevens needs no introduction. As a mainstay of the progressive scene, he is one of the finest producers to hail from Australia. He teams up with Swiss resident Garance, a producer known for delivering high quality emotional fare. On this debut collaboration for Balance, they provide three undeniable dancefloor ready tracks.

Imbued with exceptional warmth, 'Extatique' is an almost minimal excursion into groove. Melodic synths wash over the drums like a sunrise, punctured by intricate percussive sounds that create movement without being overtly obvious.

The slow pulse in 'Heavy Hearts' adds to the energy, one part deep house, and one part deep progressive. Orchestral swells and exploding stars take this into a cosmic territory that feels psychically emotional yet comfortingly familiar.

On 'Hula' the percussion feels bright and snappy. Discordant strings vibrate and swerve all around the groove, hiding a restless vocal that pierces through the murky maelstrom of sound. Plucked strings twinkle away like gentle fingers massaging the skin.

The latest release from Tash's Movement Limited welcomes Shrii back to the label for her debut EP. The renowned Indian vocalist and producer has collaborated with some of electronic music's most creative talents. Joint projects with Bodaishin, Nandu, Nhii and more have led to releases via A Tribe Called Kotori, Human By Default, Siamese and Out Of Options. Also a frequent collaborator with Movement Recordings boss Tash, the pair have showcased their deep creations via Mango Alley and Movement Ltd, the latter of which came in July of last year. Now returning to the label for her first solo project, Shrii presents a three-track showcase entitled 'Cages'.

Opener 'Cages' is an apt barometer of where Shrii's headspace is at, letting timely vocal fragments and exotic percussive arrangements descend over buoyant beats and rippling grooves. Creamy pianos and soulful overlays cue full vocal phrasing across the main break, tactfully moving forward as broken beats provide a bridge into a funky, key changing finale.

Moving forward on a housier tip are the funk fuelled groves and retro synth swagger of 'Inside'. A spirited dance floor jaunt powered by hopeful sonics and wispy vocals. Its adventurous spirit is something Shrii relishes in, as she continues to flex her free-thinking muscles, and in turn nails that rare compositional balance of musicality and groove.

Continuing on a hopeful monochrome is the soundscape science of the collection's closer 'Void'. Tranquil and thoughtful in equal measure, it's a composition that further cements Shrii's elusive vision, as textured beginnings morph into a meditative, consciousness-expanding conversion of colour and sound. Its calming nature provides a much-needed curveball for the more astute connoisseurs out there, one which ultimately rounds out the release on a high note.

Onedotsixtwo remains focused on bring together the finest global talent with its 30th release. Australia as a hotbed of unique talent is once again in the spotlight as two of Melbourne’s most exciting DJ/Producers, John Baptiste & Liam Sieker, combine their immense creativity and unleash a trio of outstanding tracks, collectively titled ‘Neon Skies’. Staying with the global theme, excellent remixes of ‘Neon Sky’ and ‘Neon Sunset’ come from Argentina’s Analog Jungs and India’s Weird Sounding Dude.

Opening with the subtle percussive vocodered beauty of ‘Neon Sky’, John Baptiste & Liam Sieker reveal their gorgeous, hypnotic deepness that morphs perfectly into the pulsating energy of ‘Neon Sunset’ as darkness falls. They then keep the energy level flowing with the acid tinged, heavy groove of ‘Neon Sunrise’ to complete their perfectly formed trio of diverse yet cohesive, proper progressive tracks.

The first of our remixes comes from Analog Jungs, the multi-talented and legendary Argentinian duo Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte. Returning to the label on the back of their excellent ‘Marbella’ / ‘Vancouver’ (ODST0025) double-header, they deliver a uniquely impassioned interpretation of ‘Neon Sky’ that builds and soars with euphoric majesty.

Completing this 30th exceptional release package is the wonderfully named Weird Sounding Dude, who was first introduced to onedotsixtwo fans via his ‘Hugel’ track on Gustin’s recent ‘Synchronicity’ (ODST0019) mix comp. As one of India’s most intriguing progressive house artists, he always looks to stretch his music further than the traditional and here he builds a fabulous low-slung, percussive groove around ‘Neon Sunset’ and dives deep into textures and fx to weave a distinctive and powerfully hypnotic spell.

Serendeep Opens the 13th Chapter by warmly welcoming Liam Sieker with the debut release ‘Good Intentions'. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Liam is well known for his regular appearances at My Aeon, Brown Alley, Babylon Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Esoteric. He has also released music on the finest imprints such as Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Matan Caspi and Stan Kolev's Revolt Music & Tripswitch's Onedotsixtwo many others. Not known to many Mike Rish one of the best upcoming producers, his unique style of production got him to labels such as Bunny Tiger Dubs, Colorize.

The atmospheric percussive quality supported by the growling baseline makes ‘Good Intentions' headliner of the release. A deeper yet fierce piece through a musical storyboard with an implicit sense of adventure, Mike's remix pushes the boundaries in sound-design and complex rhythms within the existing framework of the original. Ideally following deeper sounds soundscape, flowing through tasteful modulation ‘Understanding' closes the 23 Min EP.
