Ballantyne - Resonate

It is against the breathtaking backdrop of Aotearoa’s Deep South that the production duo Ballantyne craft their unique sound.  Long-time friends and collaborators, Kalo Pilato and Sarah Callander, have been hiding away for the last five years shaping and defining their music and are finally ready to show it to the world.  

Lyrically their tracks evoke a beautiful sadness, all the while hinting at an inherent hopefulness.  Matched with a dark melancholy in the music, Ballantyne’s sound stems from a love of trip hop and glimmers with influences from a wide range of genres.  Ballantyne write music that speaks from the soul, never confines itself to rules of genre, ever moved by the landscape that surrounds them.
