Since he started producing at 18, and having switched over from being an ex-metal drummer, dubstep has always been the genre of EDM that gives Ballista a sufficing head bang. After hearing his first dub tunes like "Swagga" and "Retreat," he knew dubstep was the genre that could truly be heavy like metal but in it's own element, and thrill the auditory senses. He became infatuated with the music, and before even owning a set of tables he was head over heels into music production, conjuring up demons within his computer. Ballista has also had the honor of sharing the stage with acts such as KOAN Sound, Dubsidia, Helicopter Showdown, Vaski, Mark Instinct, Bar 9, Chaosphere, AC Slater, Bryx and many other incredible DJs that helped put him on the map. After being in the scene for as little as two years "Ransom" was released on Monkey Dub Recording in December 2010, and a few months after that followed his debut EP "Boombox Bangers Volume I." which was also released on Monkey Dub Recording. After that, a free EP was put out by himself titled "Headrockers" which includes his first rap remix of Tech N9ne's "Big Bad Wolf" and is up for free download on soundcloud. With another EP almost done for Bassbong Records and remixes in the works, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases! See you all at the next show!
