For our first instalment of Ballista Frequencies we welcome Naarm based producer/dj Hasvat Informant.

Mike Blyth aka Hasvat Informant is a Producer / DJ from Naarm, Australia. Mike has established a respectable repertoire of releases across many notable European labels; Amniote Editions, Ute Rec, and Space Trax, to name just a few. Mikes elegant but powerful homage to thorough techno has seen him support the likes of Mama Snake, Answer Code Request, Nene H, and Tred. Alongside his own body of work, Mike has mixdown and co-production credits to over 100 tracks from various notable artists worldwide.

Born and based in Helsinki, shaped by several years in London’s scene, CEB brings a sharp, instinctive energy to this mix. A resident at Helsinki’s Post Bar and Ääniwalli, and a driving force behind collectives Interlink and Korgy, his approach is rooted in both experience and community, curating spaces as much as sound.

In late 2023 when he co-founded Interlink with Paula Koski, CEB began to carve out a more personal identity in deep, textured, hypnotic techno, yet always informed by a wider love for music in all its forms. Both Interlink and Korgy have since played distinct roles in shaping Helsinki’s club culture, each creating space for connection, experimentation, and collective energy in their own ways having their own mission.

The mix reflects that balance: focused and spacious, minimal in structure but rich in detail, selections built for movement and total immersion.

To borrow the words of Freddy K: “I don’t play for me—in that moment, I play for all of us“

Based in Naarm/Melbourne, the producer and DJ draws dancers into intricate rhythmic worlds, thriving in intimate club settings where he can lose himself in the booth and the dance floor. With a background as a sound and light technician, his sets are a homage to immersive dance floor moments and formative teen club experiences. A self-taught artist and a regular on Amniote Editions, Hasvat Informant begins each track by exploring a distinct timbre, anchoring his productions in sonic discovery. Now, he expands his creative horizons, venturing beyond rigid bounds of genre, all whilst balancing studio time with local and international performances.
