My first attempt at a full production with all the bells and whistles I could comfortably wield. Hugely inspired by all the incredible shit I hear on this platform.

Hate Song

Balloon Shed is the bedroom pop project of Bristol (UK) based singer/songwriter, Rowan Davies.


Proudly lo-fi and offbeat, Balloon Shed delivers bouncy garage rock that takes inspiration 80s/ 90s alt-rock acts and the kind of critical messaging purveyed  by more contemporary artists such as Jeff Rosenstock and AJJ.


Balloon Shed's songwriting style favours melody and introspective storytelling (and also some contemplation on the everlasting daftness of mankind). 


The project's latest single, "Frank Says", imagines Pixies frontman Black Francis as a prophet of humanity's doom who leads his followers on an expedition of interplanetary colonisation. So there's that.


A self-titled EP is due late 2023.
