The Iliads series has enabled us to return to the original sound of the label, and to explore the styles of our original artists. This third volume digs into the darker dystopian Hokusai sound, most notably with the 2 A-side tracks Beyond Measure & Papillon. The B-side track 'Listen With Intelligence' is an ode to the golden age of 1994-7 Atmospheric Jungle. The whole E.P. is vintage Odysee with rolling intricate breaks, deep sub-lines and a whole array of those trademark deep electronic & film-noire samples! 300 Clear 140gm Vinyls on their way as we speak:) Out end of September 2024

Check out the b-section with a brutal oldskool style dark pad that I made on the Roland Integra-7, massively underrated synth, it's basically a suped-up JV1080 with a ton of new features and all the old rom cards built-in. The opening track 'This Place' encapsulates his sound perfectly, classic chopped jungle breaks, thundering bass hooks and supersonic amens. 'I've Been There' transports you right back to the mid 90's with soulful pads, piano hooks and nostalgic amen hits. The title track 'Egemonic' takes the amens into deeper territory as eastern instruments converge with emotional strings to create a cinematic journey. Label owner Eschaton jumps in to give his own take on 'This Place' to end the EP where he takes the original sounds and blends them into his own sonic vision.
