On the 6th of November, I had the pleasure, after more than two years, to play the terrace of the fabulous Space club in Miami again. I feel playing at Space, especially into the early morning hours requires a little different type of setlist, and even more so when the sun starts to come up. So I specially prepared a "terrace" set and included some of my all-time faves in combination with new great things. Hiroko Yamamura opened with a beautifully flowing selection and set the mood for the whole night and morning. I started at 4am and ended up playing for 5h which was so much fun, especially dropping some of my all-time classics again, something I didn't do for a while. Well you can listen to the whole thing now and make your own verdict. Hope you enjoy. Oh and by the way, some news you deserve to know as you have been reading so far :). Since I restarted my CLR label this year, I decided that I will bring back the CLR Podcast once a month with a special DJ set by the artists who release on the label. It will be under the roof of AMFM, so you don’t need to do anything, but stay tuned and you will automatically hear the “AMFM CLR Special Podcast Edition” right here at the same spot. It is Monday the 23rd of December 2013 and we have DJ Emerson back on the CLR Podcast with a generous two hours long live set from one of his recent gigs at CLR´s weekly “Disturbance” night at Arena Club in Berlin. In 2014 the long-time label artist and prolific producer will be releasing exciting new music, for example a remix for Michael Schwarz on Wall Music and an EP on Markantonio´s Analytic Trail imprint, including a remix by Flug. The Warehouse Dub goes even deeper. Stripped right back to percussion and sub, it’s such a strong tool for DJs to lock the crowd in and keep the energy rolling. I love how at 5.32 the track finds this unique, renewed energy that you need for those incredible power mixes into the next track. This version makes it particularly valuable for high-energy sets, providing DJs with the perfect moment to push things forward while keeping the groove alive. The subtle vocal snippets maintain a connection to the original while letting the groove take complete focus.

Both versions really show the Groovecreator-signature. Tight low-end, rolling percussion, and that authentic underground feel that just works so well on big systems. These are tracks I’d definitely play in The Midnight Project, and I can already see myself using them as a secret weapon at sunrise in Ibiza on a big system when the dancefloor is fully locked in and ready to go deeper together.

Really love what you’re doing here. Can’t wait to play the warehouse dub on a big system.
