I am happy to share with you Part One of the live recording of my all night long set at Warf Chambers in Leeds for Rogue Puppet on 07/04/2023.

The first two hours of this set was all vinyl focussing on tribal, funky and hardgroove records.

PART ONE - Rogue Puppet: Balrog All Night Long [Recorded Live at Warf Chambers, Leeds - 07042023]

DJ and one of the organizer of RAVE CAVE. After work in a corporation, she looks for new spots for parties and comes up with extraordinary concepts, most of which she probably won’t implement anyway. Musically, she tries to be diverse, but you can be sure of one thing - she will not prepare you a set that isn’t fast and banging. Initially, she liked to play industrial, now she is turning more and more towards hardtrance, neorave and hardgroove/groove. It is important for her that the tracks stand out  with something, so that her sets are not boring, according to the „bangers only” principle. But she will also not despise emotional songs to which you can melt. If she’s not playing, you can probably find her tending to keep the smoke machine working and the LED lights not burning out

Passionate about electronic music since an early age, he has grown up in the world of clubbing/nightlife where he discovers techno music and a spark was born immediately.
After years spent frequenting the techno scene, he founded Ermetic Affinity in 2019.
A format of events inspired by the sounds and culture of Berlin techno music.
Since that day he has performed as a resident together with his crew in the Ermetic Affinity evenings.
Sinse 2023 he's has joined the well-known Triestine techno label @daskollektive alongside his two crew members @nicolavirnicchi & @francesco-troha.

Hailing from Leeds in the north of the UK, Balrog (Alex) is an artist whose style focuses on heavy rolling drums, driving bass lines, and distorted vocals. His tracks take influence from classic funky and groove focussed techno but with a fresh injection of modern industrial power. Focussing on this signature sound of industrial groove techno has seen him release on labels including Soma, Ear To Ground, Hydraulix, Crisis Of Man, Player, NAKT, Instruments Of Discipline, Moments In Time and Green Fetish.

The industrial groove sound also characterises Balrog’s high-energy DJ sets which have seen him headline events in cities such as New York, Berlin, London, Leeds, Manchester, Budapest, Glasgow, and more.

Balrog also runs his own record label, Khazad Records, which releases music from the very best industrial groove and hard techno talent around.

In addition to his Balrog alias, Alex also also plays and produces under, The Groovemeister General, focussing exclusively on moulding together deep, funky and grooving house and techno records.
