Media Blackout has been the home of many outstanding artistic collaborations, but we can’t express how immensely excited we are to introduce this new production team formed by two of the recently most successful artists on the label. We welcome back Rafal Michal to Media Blackout with Canadian Futuresoul joining him. The all-star team brings us the single “Youth (Neon Sunset)”, a beautiful melodic track that builds up tension throughout, mixed with powerful synths and melodic vocal work courtesy of Futuresoul; a feel-good track that keeps the flow going while providing a classic NuDisco feeling. On remix duty, to complement the massive original; we brought in Miaudio’s own heavy hitter ‘Elektromekanik’ as well as Japanese and Kitsune NuDisco superstar ‘Boys Get Hurt’!

Elektromekanik turns his interpretation into a groovy, melodic Nu Disco number keeping the harmonic vocal values intact, with a breakdown that will sure be glued into the minds of those lucky dancers. To add even more magic to this release, we bring you Boys Get Hurt (Kitsune, Media Blackout, Continental Records) who turns ‘Youth’ into a beautiful musical masterpiece with stunning use of the vocal. Die Idee zu „The Animal Inside“ kam @ohmyboy, als er beim Produzieren durch seine Tiergeräusch-Samples stöberte. „Ich hatte diese treibende, irgendwie fiese Bassline, die lebendig wirkt und wusste noch nicht, wohin die Reise gehen soll“, so der Produzent. (...) Neben dem Original und einer Single-Version umfasst die EP noch einen Remix von @gabrielananda. „Ich liebe Gabriels Musik“, gibt OHMYBOY offen zu. Ananda habe von seiner Arbeit mitbekommen und ihn vor kurzem zu sich in sein Studio im Westerwald eingeladen. „Als ich verstand, wie naturverbunden Gabriel ist, war mir klar, dass er den Song unbedingt remixen muss! Und ich hatte das große Glück, dass ihm der Track sofort rein ging! Was ich ganz besonders gelungen an Gabriels Remix finde, ist, dass er die in den Lyrics dargestellte „Transformation“ vom Menschen zum Biest musikalisch perfekt inszeniert hat!" (...)
