Born on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Puerto Rican parents, BAM has been dancing
since he can remember. Bam says "It was Salsa and Disco all day long in my house". Through
urban dance BAM was able to avoid the perils of the streets while growing up.

Bam has choreographed commercials for Nike, Sprite and Coca-Cola. He's also performed with
Omarion, Donnie McCurklin and Aretha Franklin. Film credits include "Daddy Can't Dance" Hip
Hop movie in which he helped produce the soundtrack, "Perfect Holiday" with Cedric the
Entertainer and Queen Latifah and old school 80s hip hop movie "Krush Groove". Bam also
co-directed and choreographed the off-Broadway musical Break "The Urban Funk Spectacular"
and was a dancer in Jam On The Groove, the first Hip Hop musical. Bam specializes in NYC
Electric Boogie dance style and Robot, which he learned first in 1978. His Robot Solo video has
reached 12 million views on YouTube and inspired the next generation of robot dancers. His influence is seen in movies, music videos and competitions around the world

As a filmmaker, he produced dance videos like "Young Joker", "Pop" and "Cyber City". He produced a short film with a feature script called "Ruwach" pronounced (Roo-wock) A
Quest For The Truth. He penned another script for a feature dance film called "Boogie Boy" A Son’s Dream To Dance and A Father's Desire To Fulfill It, which is fundraising. His documentary film "Up Jump Da Boogie" is on tour. It was accepted into the Hip Hop Film Festival at the Apollo Theatre 2024 and Maryland International Film Festival 2024, along with screenings hosted at the Museum Of Bronx History, Piragua Art Space, and Frederick Arts Council. This documentary film is Bam's 45-year story of dance featuring performances and interviews with the legends he has performed and danced with making history along the way.

BAM has received worldwide critical acclaim through the constant media attention surrounding
his work. He is the owner of "Fresh Academicz" Breakdance and Hip Hop Academy in
Hagerstown Maryland which opened in 2014 teaches youth life skills through the performing
arts.
