After their acclaimed apparitions on OOH-sounds, Santé Records and Zoe Mcpherson’s SFX, Glass comes back with Comic Sans for their longest work to date.

Anxiety Prime is the result of a collaboration between Glass and Comic Sans’s headquarters. Through the whole record, the experimental writing of the duo bends underground club culture references into a playful and hybrid sound experience. To achieve this result, the Caen based producers use every tools at their disposal from cutting-edge techniques like max/msp programming, machine learning to random internet sound sampling, voice experimentation and field recordings to name a few.\

The duo’s work can be seen as a contemporary sound collage, where hundreds of heavy processed sonic fragments are carefully arranged into a multi-layered composition. Anxiety Prime is a physical exploration of socio-political violence and the ambiguous nature of our fragmented personality in our modern society.

The imprint from Turin celebrates its second birthday with Flex003, a compilation featuring ten tools from new, up-and-coming and established artists from around the globe.

Ranging from 90 to 160+ BPM, the release encompasses multiple aspects of experimental club music such as dancehall, drum’n’bass, leftfield techno and broken beats sounds.

The compilation kicks off with a bass post-club experiment of ‘Gain XP’ from Bladeblanc, which leads to the combination of broken beats and atmospherical sound design of ‘Wonder’ from AYLN. Follows ’East Wing Oslo House’, the new techno-adjacent-mutant-club contribution from Ikävä Pii, and ‘Scamming’ from Lighght with its psychedelic vocals and pitch-shifting percussions. To close off the first side of the album we find the leftfield techno of Alec Pace’s ‘Ghost Money’ with its syncopated bass and mysterious vocals. Opening the second half the compilation is Honeydrip with her new work ‘Wake the Phone’, characterised by a bouncing beat and a 90's feel, followed by ‘Sentimento’, the quirky and hypnotic interlude signed by BLCKEBY. Hassan Abou Alam then brings the listener into a distant world with his glitchy robotic tool titled ‘Freeze’. The BPM then shifts up for an explosive ending where club-driven percussive rhythmics blends with d’n’b excursions in ‘Day After the Last Day’ from Diessa and ‘Rek’ from NORA DRUM.

‘Wirehead’ is a maximalist assault for the internet era; a fine-tuned volley seeking to reflect the glut of information competing for our attention. It’s dopamine hacking through auditory stimuli, soundtracking a gradual decline into disorder through turbulent experimentation.

From hopeful delusion to palpable despondency, our premiere leaves any trace of optimism mired in bleak, club-focussed abstraction.

Starting out as a space for the East and South East Asian community to come together in London, Eastern Margins has morphed from a party,  into a wider collective, label and platform for its diaspora.

Already with a strong pair of EP's out in the world, the next on their label strand sees a transatlantic collab with NYC-based, Laenz and Tokyo's T5UMUT5UMU. Together, they bring 'Unsleep' EP. 

Driven by syncopated, multi-layered percussion, 'Death Blossom' forms a beautifully haunting prance around the 8-bit dungeon. The celestial vocals of Laenz adding a blissful chill to an all-encompassing, body-pulsing arrangement.
