Bambus City Strut (Live) - Where Were You

This has been a long time coming for Bambus to release their second EP with a few mad moments! We want to share with you the completed version of a track written by Sasha Patterson (Lead Vocals) and Rick Butterfield (Guitar) - with a strong groove and killer fusion horn lines, we hope this will getting you tantalised for a very diverse EP release. We are happy for you to share this and spread the Bambus word, we will be having a limited vinyl release (Date TBC) and digital release in June 2015 (Date TBC) This will be the only full track we have available for you until the official release.

On this track we have Tom Houghton (Drums and Band Co-Founder), Patrick Pezzuto (Bass), Davide Basso (Backing Vocals), Simon Platts (Saxophone), Phil Chadney (Trumpet)

Bambus City Strut - Cramp Your Style

Set up in 2009 by Sasha Patterson (Lead Vocals) and Tom Houghton (Drums) the band has been influenced by many genres of music, from Funk and Soul to Jazz, Reggae, Rare Groove, Latin breaks and more that this is felt within the music.

Starting out in the suburbs of London and Surrey, gigging in small bars and clubs, as the band has grown and built their name, they have performed at some of the UK's favourite music venues (Jazz Cafe, London; Charlie Wrights International,London; The Hootananny, Brixton) with covers of rare funk and groove tracks to more well known ones as well as their stomping original tracks.

Fronted by the power Soul and Funk vocals of lead singer/songwriter Sasha who captivates you not only with her voice but with her stage presence and warmth on the energetic live shows that the band perform, joining herare the infectious backing vocal section, with outstanding vocal harmonies, the power of what a 2 piece horn section can dointheform of Phil Chadney (Trumpet) and Simon Platts (Sax) and a fine rhythm section of Rick Butterfield (Guitar) Jon Mapp (Bass) and most recently on Keys we have the outstanding Dimitris Dimopoulos, you must experience the band when they perform live to feel the full grasp of what they are capable of.
