[moos] is an electronic music producer from the Netherlands. 
“I’ve been making music for over 20 years: electro, dubstep, techno, dub, ambient. For three years now I’ve been focussing on modular synths, which I find truly inspiring. I did live modbap sets (modular + hiphop beats), glitchy tracks and lofi ambient pieces. 
Something that’s always present in my music is a feeling of melancholy. When I create stuff, I start with an idea, start patching and develop it further. In that process the modular always brings me to new unexpected sound territories. Everything is recorded straight to stereo, no overdubs or edits on the computer. This is challenging but also very rewarding - once it’s done it’s done.”

A treeless plain beyond the northern limits, a desert of winter worlds. 
An eternally frozen land that does not know the waters of the seas and rivers. The tundra is ruled by strong winds, the sounds of the tundra are the rustle of low grasses, the whispering leaves of dwarf willows and birches, quiet conversations of small tiny birds. 
The cautious tread of deer, jumping on the soft paws of arctic foxes, alert ears of hares in the grass, cubs playing on carpets of moss and lichens. 
People do not live in the tundra, they do not build cities, only occasionally a hunter or nomads pass by, but only as guests of the tundra. The tundra is ruled by the winds.

After exhausting and anxious months, our young family settled in exile on the southwestern shores of Turkey. It took some time to mobilize and return to composing. In small steps, I returned to music and completed the project that I started last year. In it I explore methods of working with orchestral recordings arranged into long and soothing compositions.

Three Euclidean Rhythms [disquiet0567]

This is an Extract from the Premiere of my new solo performance "Interdimensional Generated Space", premiered in October 2022 at Panke Culture in Belin, as a part of the series (Von Antennenwäldern und Wellenozeanen) . 

A research-intensive piece focusing on the transcendental phenomenon of the Northern Lights. 
The planned performance uses the implement of self-made recordings from the Northern Lights, in combination with self-made crystal radio, plus light, detectors, and motors, to simulate a technological audio-visual version of Northern Lights in the performance space. “Interdimensional” specifically refers to the movement of energy between modes of perception. One part of this energy come from the composed mixture of “natural cosmic voices”; and another part is coming from the electromagnetic forces generated and captured in real time during the performance. The piece make full use of the contrasts of the invisible processes, to create a new experience of space, time, and human scale. 
This is an attempt to achieve a unique sonic dialogue 
between “Natural” and “Technological” world, a reflection on Nature that is imitated by technology in an anthropogenic age.

Everyday life is often filled with many small anxieties that we deal with by simply pretending they do not exist.
Sometimes they thicken beyond the horizon of our field of vision, turning into a sense of impending danger, a floating leviathan, an immense bird of prey hiding in the clouds above the skyscrapers ready to grab us. Our only defence is to try to ignore it, hoping that oblivion will slowly devour it, relegating it to another plane of existence.

And sometimes, it is simply like dreaming of suffocating...
