@traxunit is a collaborative project between electronic music artists Kyle Galindo (a.k.a. KMS) and Kian Mahroo (a.k.a. Keenan). 
While the Trax Unit duo was officially formed in 2019, the pair has been DJing together in the LA underground techno scene for over a decade. 

They launched the @gyrationstation label in 2020 with their debut EP, Trax Unit Vol. 1, which quickly garnered support among heavy hitters such as Lauren Flax, Sally C and Cromby. 
Since then, the label has produced a good handful of releases and hosts a monthly party series in Los Angeles, the duo's hometown.

Trax Unit now have several releases under their belt. One of their more recent singles, ‘Get The Werk,’ was featured on TSHA’s Fabric Presents album. 

They are devoted diggers and intrepid producers with an affinity for 90’s dance music. 
When they DJ, expect high energy house and techno that will undoubtedly get you moving on the dance floor.

GUEST SERIES : Trax Unit

Peachlyfe is a hydra-sonic electronic musician thats hook & seduced the Copenhagen fast-paced techno scene, claiming their seat along with the Fast Forward Agency. Peachlyfe’s productions and live sets rebelliously weave across genres, trippy melodies cut with heavy slaps while slithering whispers in your ears owing the dismantlement of the ‘cistem’. Their previous EPs “All Tits are Real, All Money is Fake, All Hail Satan”, “Swamplyfe”, and “Against All Reason” are odes to that anarchic playfulness, a marvellous feat in blending rave-rush joy and queer defiance.Their recent EP “Boī\_(ツ)_/ ̄” serves equal parts juicy techno and epic trance with that Peachlyfe trademark:The shenanigans are continuously brought to yet another level. 

This Chalkboard TT mix is a live recording from Petra’s set when we had the pleasure to host them at “sideways” earlier this year (02.09.2023). It was a treat to be able to show Petra our little city and it has been special to have stayed connected since. Enjoy this 70 minutes of uniformed hard hitting kicks from one of the driving forces in today’s techno scene!

The Brazilian-born, New York City-based artist has been a fixture of the city’s club scene for over a decade. Known for her ability to control a room—shifting between techno, house, baile & bass, she is also a drummer and has an intuitive understanding of timing and rhythm. Her music selection has landed her gigs in New York’s staple venues like Knockdown Center, Basement, Good Room, Elsewhere, and more, collaborating with prominent promoters such as Pornceptual, Mala Junta, and Mamba Negra. In 2020, Elle took the next step and released her first EP - Underneath - as she launched the Mild Fantasy label—a queer/non-binary techno label from Bushwick, Brooklyn.

"We always put minorities to the front." The Mala Junta cofounder and affiliate talk about prioritising femme queer ravers, the value of local party crews and not taking themselves too seriously.

Friends and colleagues Hyperaktivist and Yazzus share one important value: putting marginalised folks to the front. The Venezuelan and Ghana-via-London artists, respectively, met in Berlin not long after Yazzus went to the Berlin-based Mala Junta party, a collective co-founded by Hyperaktivist, DJ Tool and door selector Nyaam Hassany. Yazzus was asked to be a party resident and has collaborated with the crew extensively, playing their shows and helping curate lineups ever since. 

In this <i>RA</i> Exchange with Berlin DJ and journalist Juba, the two talk about their shared passion for better representation on party lineups and what authentic diversity means in a climate that often privileges checking boxes and meeting quotas. They also talk about their solo endeavours, their trajectories into dance music and their shared passion for nurturing the growth of homegrown parties and scenes.
